Last Trip? It was until we met Food & Wine -- Recap 2/12

What a nice morning at MK! Those pooh ears are adorable -- I don't think I've seen those before!

Aren't they cute?

I haven't been following the Poly construction, so it was cool to see your picture of the bungalows -- those are pretty cool!

They do; but I'm still not sure I like the whole idea.

Great updates as ALWAYS! you two are just the cutest couple ever.

Mo, you are too nice...but thank you.

Drives me nuts when i see the PP blurry!!! I just realized we did NOT do the pooh ride this past time!!! then again it was a huge line for it!

I know; but I guess sometimes when there is a line they rush too much. I try never to miss Pooh.

Cannot believe the wait times on Maelstrom!! then again it is it's last year. :sad2:

It's closed now; I think it closed right after we left.

tea cups! :crazy2: nope.. Not me. your one heck of a adventurous lady!!! :lmao:

Only because we don't spin a lot.

It looks like a lot of fun. I hope I get to try it out someday. But first, I need to see the place at Christmas time.

Oh there is NOTHING like Christmas time.

Nice for nostalgia's sake. I know I'm in the minority, but I can't say I'll miss it. I always thought the ride was weird.

Nope; we won't miss it either.

Now that looks tasty!

Trust me it was.

Yes, please!

One of my favorites.

I gather it meets your approval.

As does the cronut. They were both excellent.

Starbucks? Bleh. Gimme the cronut again.:thumbsup2

Even I might give up my Starbucks for another cronut.

Seems like that one is FastPass or bust.

Yes it is. :(

Hi Kathy, finally caught up with you! I saw that you said you were disappointed with Flame Tree. I'm sorry to hear this, but it makes me feel a little bit better. We actually skipped it this time.

:rotfl::rotfl: you crack me up; Mark enjoyed his, mine just wasn't good at all.

Your AK and EPCOT day looks like a lot of fun. I really wish I could get there for F&W sometime. As much as I enjoy walking around WS any time, having food and beverages at my finger tips everywhere would be even better. :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Andy, knowing your love of different foods (some weird choices I'll admit), you would love it.

So, I'm way behind....but...what an incredible start to your trip! I am so glad that someone recognized the number of times you've been to Disney and spread some incredible pixie dust your way! Then off to Frozen fireworks and a meet with Cynthia? Well done! :goodvibes

We had so much fun being with Cynthia and Jeff. I fell in love with Cynthia the first time I met her.

Your report is reminding me that I need to go back for Food & Wine Festival at some point! Isn't the cronut the most amazing thing??? Did seagulls swarm you when you got yours? I'm scared of birds and they were swooping down on us as we walked with our cronut, but it was worth it for that deliciousness.

The cronut totally blew us away. We had no problems with seagulls; I think they were by everyone at the garbage cans using them as tables for Food & Wine. :lmao:

Nice pictures from the ferry and early morning on Main Street.

:thumbsup2

Thanks, Dee.

This is a fantastic picture of the two of you!!!

Plus, your shirt themes match and are perfectly lined up.

Thanks; I like that one too and I printed it for my desk. :)

Yikes!

Yep...that's what we said. I was so glad we had ridden it earlier in the trip.

:cool1: on your unplanned meet at WTP.

It was fun. :)

Looks like nice rides on Pooh and the Tea Cups.

:goodvibes

I love Pooh and Tea Cups are good once in awhile.

Yey! So glad y'all got to do Food & Wine! The first time we went we just stopped and got what we wanted, but I'm such a dork that now I stalk the boards for the menus so I can plan in advance!:rotfl: Can't wait to hear what else you tried!

I kind of looked at the menus before we left, but I didn't study them all too hard.

Great selection you guys tried at the F&W. I have had some great hits and terrible misses over the year with the offerings. I have to tell you I tried the grapefruit beer this month while there thanks to Mark, it is super good! I had like 3 :rotfl2: Oh and the cronut, my goodness that looks and sounds good. Will put it on my must try list.

Thanks, Lori. I was pleased with most everything. I'm so glad you enjoyed the grapefruit beer. :) And you really need to try the cronut.

I love both gifts - they're so beautiful and thoughtful!

Thanks, Sarah.

Looks like you got some nice, thoughtful presents. Merry Christmas!

Thanks, Andy. Merry Christmas to you too.

The last few updates were fun. And what a fun christmas gift!

Thanks; we had fun. And I love our gift from Des.

Hey, I'm famous! It was so nice to meet you two as well, just sorry we didn't have enough time to chat! I walked by you in the store afterwards while you were taking Mark's photo, and turned back to say hi again and got cut in front of. If we're ever down at the same time again, I'd love to say hello again. Great updates, btw!

I want to get in one more update before Christmas and our weekend in Dubuque.

We have. And yes that was our next destination.

While we were in line waiting our turn to get on the ride, we met another DISer. Jen (Jen, I forgot your screenname...sorry). We talked across the gate while they waited for their flight to start. And, although we didn't get a picture together, here's a picture of Jen and her daughter to prove we saw each other:

Soon it was our turn to see an elephant fly

Mark looks a little worried here :rotfl2:

All better

A man and his elephant

I believe I took a smoke break and Mark took a bio-break and then we were going to get on this

Before we got into the train depot, Mark needed a picture with another elephant

And insisted I get one with the giraffe

(he's lucky it didn't spit on me)

Then we were on the train and I had a happy hubby

We got off the train in Frontierland because we had a date with a mountain. But you'll have to wait for the next update for that.

In the meantime, I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas. And, once again, I thank you for all of your love and support during mom's illness and passing.

I LOVE me some train! I may actually take a train tour...

Oh gosh, I just can't wait to see the whole new area! I'm so terribly excited. Your pictures are just so darn cute. I love the one of Mark all kind of, "What have I done?!" looking on Dumbo. :rotfl2:

Merry Christmas to you too, Kathy!

All caught up!

What a great morning at the MK! I just love all your Dumbo and new Fantasyland pics - that is an area we have yet to explore in depth.

And a ride on the railroad - can it get any better?

Merry Christmas, Kathy and family!

Love your presents from the kids! Very thoughtful and perfect!

We need to take more time in the Storybook Circus part next time- it looks so cute. We got on Dumbo with no wait and then it was getting dark and we didn't come back to see all the new stuff another day.

I know you've had a rough year, so I wish your whole family a very Merry Christmas and blessings in the New Year!

Kathy, first I'm going to say I love the Food & Wine pictures. So glad that you were finally able to partake in it. That is our most favorite time to go to WDW! We have gone 8 consecutive years and don't plan on stopping any time soon. :)

All your photopass pictures are soooooo good. You guys really get some fantastic shots.

Loved the Christmas gifts. How thoughtful were they. Those Mickey Head lawn ornaments are perfect for you guys. And the photo of the boys, priceless.

And finally, I would like to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas! :goodvibes

Love your presents - especially the Mickey Head lights ... very creative and thoughtful!

Mark does look like it was a rough start to his Dumbo flight, but glad he survived.

Love riding the WDW Railroad and how much you can see (as you can tell by all the great pictures you got of Future World, etc.)!

I am sure this year will be full of mixed emotions but I truly do wish you, Mark, and your entire family and wonderful holiday!

I love The area around dumbo....great theming!

Have a wonderful holiday Kathy!

Jill in CO

No kids but still play in the Winnie the Pooh queue and ride Dumbo. My kind of people.

Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas.

While we were in line waiting our turn to get on the ride, we met another DISer.

Cool! Amazing you seem to keep running into them at random times.

Mark looks a little worried here :rotfl2:

I think he might be about to hurl.:rotfl2:

Then we were on the train and I had a happy hubby

I see he wore an appropriate shirt for the occasion.

In the meantime, I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas. And, once again, I thank you for all of your love and support during mom's illness and passing.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Kathy!

Yay for an unplanned DISmeet - so fun!

Mark looks very happy on Dumbo - and with his Dumbo in the store afterwards.

Yay for the railroad! I actually don't know that I've ever ridden it, but it looks like it gives you a great view of the park.

Ooh, a mountain, I wonder which one? I'm looking forward to reading all about it.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

For some reason, while I like Storybook Circus, I still kinda miss Toon Town.

Ah that's awesome. Yet another DISmeet. :goodvibes

I haven't ridden Dumbo since I was kid. I think it's time to fix that.

And Kathy... I wish you the most Merry of Christmases ever!!!! :santa:

Well Kathy I am all caught up.

Love all the AK magic shots. Yes Nemo is another wonderful show, but I must see FOLK every time and Nemo just every once in a while.

So foggy that MK morning. Those Poly bungalos are almost done!!!!

Yes the 7DMT line queue is so long yet it spills out every time.

Love the MAoWtP and MTC rides if the lines aren't too long.

I didn't quote the pictures but found it funny that Mark was holding the Starbucks cup in the castle picture but you were not. :lmao:

Hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !!!

I'll be back to catch up on your report soon, but I wanted to say have a wonderful Christmas with your family!
