Oh my word, the DIS got put in a blender over night.
Loved your trip report, Kat. Makes me long to get there this year.
Can't wait to read your report after your visit in May.

Ok, so I'm still figuring out the new boards and not quite sure how to go through and multi-quote like I usually do.
Ok, so I'm still figuring out the new boards and not quite sure how to go through and multi-quote like I usually do. But in any case, it looks like Marco Island was a lot of fun.
Oh, that looks DELICIOUS!!!
Darla, it was very delicious.
I wanna do what this bird is doing -- just plop my butt down in the sand and sit there!!!
my goodness that was quite the storm. Glad you still got in some pool and beach time.
Yes; we would have that type of storm almost every afternoon around 3 p.m.
Love vacations where the tasks for one day consists of "Pool" and then the next day has "Beach"
Can't believe that life, can you?
Great that you got together with Nicki and then with her and Todd - I am sure that was nice.
It's always good to spend time with my little sis and Todd.
Wonder what that gator is thinking during the show "I don't get it, he does this every day! I don't mess with his mouth"
I love the picture of Mark and Nicki (and sad that you didn't get a picture with Nicki)
I was sad too; but I'll have ample opportunities in May.
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! It's always very nice to have pool day and beach day back-to-back!
Ah the beach! What a way to recover from a Disney Trip eh?![]()
Oh wow, that's a lot of onion rings! Jim and I love Red Robin but unfortunately the closest one is over an hour from us.
We have one in our mall 5 minutes away but we rarely go to it...the service is terrible.
Looks like you had some nice relaxing days at the pool and beach.
We did...we love our down time after all the hustle at Disney.
Man you are making me hungry today. The Waffle House looks yummy.
I could go for Waffle House right about now.
OK, that guy with the gator is a bit crazy. I'm glad you enjoyed the airboat tour. Jim and I are doing one next week.
We are headed down September 22 and will be at WDW until October 3rd. We (My Mark and I) are taking my 4 year old and my 13 year old niece for their first trip. Woo hoo!
More awesome pics Kathy! The bird ones you just posted are so cool. Sounds like y'all had a nice relaxing first couple of days- shopping, pool, beach, and with great company... what more can a girl want?![]()
Beautiful!![]()
Hmmmmm - let's see - who is more interesting to look at - Chris or the alligator! I totally pick Chris. I would go just to see him!
That's too funny. When we got off the airboat tour and walked over to the show and I saw who it was I got a big grin on my face. Mark asked why. I said "It's Chris." He's not hard on the eyes at all.
How did that onion ring stack NOT fall over????? Seriously???? OK - I know there had to be a stick in there or something. But Wow!
She carried it with two hands to the table. Yes, I think there was some kind of support in the middle.
I didn't realize your pool was so close to the water.
There are two pools at the condo. A big pool which we never use and then this smaller one which we go to all the time because it is right by the water and we often see the dolpins and stingrays when they jump up into the air.
Those pics are just what I need this morning to help cure the winter blues.
These winter blues are getting harder all the time.
And Nicky is just so darn cute!
Missed an update-
Was that before or after the change on the DIS? lol
Beautiful flowers.
The flowers there are gorgeous...no matter what month we are there.
Beautiful sailboat.
One day I want to go out on one.
Beautiful water.
Thanks...I was happy with the pictures of the water this trip.
Beautiful tans!
It helped having a couple of trips to Disney last year with the tanning.
And great foliage on the airboat tour.
I wish I could have gotten more, but that boat goes pretty darn fast.
Calgon - PLEASE TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!! You're killing me here!![]()
Nice wrap up to your final day and saying your goodbyes to Disney! I love your and Marks shirts.Okay, so you posted the prices on the Jim Shore items, but I have no clue what goes with the price and if it is a reasonably good deal???
A Sitting Goofy for $22 sounds like a bargain, regardless.
And the way you are with lottery scratch offs, that Tigger is as good as yours .
Aren't those the best shirts? It could be $222 and you'd get a Sitting Goofy.
I love eating at The Plaza; they have great burgers and fries and my meal is always enjoyable there. Eating your final meal there, along with your balloon gifting of some lucky child in honor of your Dad are great traditions. I always love hearing about that part of your trip, even though it always comes at the end.Love the selfie on the Monorail, and yes, pathetic is probably a good description.

Nice that you had Cookie along to keep you company during the rain storm, but
that you finally saw some sun breaking through as you made it back to Marco and the next part of your journey!
Thanks, Marv. It's become a lovely tradition for us. We are pathetic old people. It was nice that we entered Marco without rain.
Okay, Mark isnt supposed to look as happy hugging Nicki as he is when hes riding Dumbo! (although I certainly understand .)Ive never had the onion stack at Red Robin.
That is just impressive!
How great to be relaxing in the sun by the pool. So glad that storm changed back to the clear skies so you could enjoy. Beautiful views of the beach and the marina. And
for another trip to the Awful Waffle (at least for you since I know you love it). That air boat tour of the Everglades sounds like a lot of fun. Glad those things dont often turn over. As for the gator show, I guess its good he didnt get his arm in that mouth when it closed or it would have turned into Rice Krispies snap .crackle, POP!
Trust me, if he had a choice it would be Nicki over Dumbo any day. I called Nicki on Saturday and Mark talked to her first. Let's just say I wasn't sure I'd ever get the phone back. We had great pool/beach days this trip, and I love my Waffle House as you know. I'm so glad that we did the Everglades tour. Trust me, when he first sped up the boat I was a little worried. That was bad, Marv.
Lots of really good birds, flowers and Everglades pics in your additional posts, and great pictures of you and Mark, and Nicki and Todd too!So glad you got the rest of them in PB so you could share.

I'm reading about your days on Marco Island while we're having another snowstorm here. Your pictures look like heaven right about now - so warm and relaxing!
Thanks, Sarah. You got the snow we had? It was hot, but very relaxing.
The gator show looks like fun!
Figuring my way around this newness.
You and me both. I know how to multi-quote, but for some reason, the last person I quote (Sarah above) always ends up first and last. I have deleted first in the past, but this time just left it until I figure it out.
Marco looks so peaceful and WARM!!!!! We do not have the unending winter here ( I moved away from THAT) but the sun and warmth is so nice.
I can't wait to move away from it...it has become quite annoying to say the least.
Looks like a wonderful Airboat tour and the alligator guy is .... interesting.
He's very interesting to look at.
Glad you found more pictures and actual have one with you and Nicki. Despite the daily rain a very nice slow re-entry to the real world by visiting Marco and Nicki and Todd.
i really have no idea if i missing something? This new Dis has me Dizzy...
Hence my new avitar. plus i ahve been demoted to a Mouseketeer!
Anyway.. I just loved your pictures with the Gator BOYS!!! The gator hanging out in the background cracked me up.
I'm learning it, but I'm not sure I love it yet. I kept keeping one eye on that gator in the background wondering if he was going to sneak up on Chris.
Also the picture of the bird is AWESOME! great clarity!
Thanks, Mo...that means a lot coming from you.
Onion ring from Red Robin... YUMMMMMMMMMM

Ok, so I'm still figuring out the new boards and not quite sure how to go through and multi-quote like I usually do. But in any case, it looks like Marco Island was a lot of fun.
I figured it out and a few have explained it here so I hope you figure it out. Marco Island was fun...as always.
The beach/pool time always looks nice and relaxing.
Mark is the big pool/beach person. He could sit there 8 hours a day. I can handle a couple of hours.
Nice job on Red Robin! Love that place. The onion rings always make me happy.
This was first time I had the onion rings...they were really good.
Waffle House makes me happy too.
You, Barry and I share that love.
Cool! An airboat tour sounds like a lot of fun. Nice job with all the alligator and bird photos. They didn't ask for volunteers to hold the gator's mouth open?
On the multi-quote option at the bottom of each post is a +Quote next to the reply if you select that on each post that you want to multi quote when you go and reply it will bring all the ones you selected and you can edit out what you want to quote. It is a nice feature and will take a little to get used to.
All caught up with the trip report. Looks like you had a fabulous Food and Wine trip. Still my favorite time of the year to go. Guessing I won't be seeing it again soon, though. Looks like your time in Marco is wonderfully relaxing. Just what is needed after a busy WDW vacation.
