Hi, Ruthie! I've actually decided not to go into nursing. I currently work as a CNA at an assisted living facility and used to work at a full nursing home. It's a very long story as to why I've changed my mind, but it's partially to do with the fact that I don't want to spend 5 years getting an Associate's, which is the minimum amount of time it'll take me to finish nursing school. Not to mention the fact that I have NO idea what's going to happen with me and DBF (we just started dating in March, but have already talked about marriage and kids) and he lives an hour away, but the school I'd be going to here and the school I could go to by him have VASTLY different requirements for the nursing program. So, right now, I'm kinda looking into something else I've considered in the past, which is hospitality management. Except that I don't really have a schedule conducive to on-campus learning and the only online school I can find with a hospitality program is University of Phoenix, and I've heard they're pretty much just a diploma mill. Basically, right now, school's just a big fat for me. I can't afford tuition right now anyway, and I'm not eligible for financial aid at the moment (long story), so maybe it's best I have no idea what I want to do. It just sucks being almost 26 and still not having any idea what you want to do with your life.
