I am looking into star wars weekends. think that might be fun. Any thoughts??

I was there during Star Wars weekend by accident one time. It was pretty cool. I only saw a couple of things centered around the theme. (It wasn't a priority for us during the trip.) If you're big into Star Wars, you'll definitely enjoy it!

I'm not really "into" Star Wars, but I love the pictures and video's I've see, and have not been there that time of year. I would love to go for the weekend, I am trying to get my brother to go with me, he is a BIG star wars fan. If he doesn't want to go, I know DH won't be able to go then, so maybe a solo trip is in my future..... :rolleyes1

I am LAST!!!!

but don't worry, you can all watch from where you are sitting, no need to get up.

See, that was easy now, wasn't it!

None coming here...Thank God! We don't need anymore snow. We've lost the first day of our spring break already. Any more snow days and spring break will be history! It just snowed Friday night, but the sun took care of it yesterday and today. (Just a trace left.)

You guys got hammered with snow! sorry you lost a day of your break, I know it will be needed!

does anyone's district have "year round" school???

20 schools in our district (666 schools in all) are going "year round" I use quotes because its the same number of days, just spread out differently. 180 school days, every 10 weeks, 2-3 weeks off with other calendar holidays included, so basicly they start school in August (we usually don't start until after Labor day) and end at the end of June giving them all of July and the first week of August for summer vacation.

I think I might like that, but the HS's are not going that route because of AP and IB testing. oh well. :confused3

We have lots of year round calendar schools here and have for many years now. I work at a traditional calendar school. As a counselor, I could not "track out" for much needed breaks so I don't choose the year round calendar for myself. I think it works for many of the kids though. If I were still in the classroom, I wouldn't mind it as much because I would have time off whenever the students did.
