They played and it was miserable-ended in a tie from a bad call the Ref made-otherwise we should of won-Oh well

the 9am games were the only games played and the kids were soaked and freezing-it was only 40 deggrees outside-ughhh it was like playing soccer in Wisconsin al over again :headache:

and the rain stopped at 11am-so I feel all the AM games should of been cancelled and the rest of the games played in NO Rain-just my opinion

Now I'm heading to work soon-such a cold gloomy day here compared to last weekend when it was 75-80-maybe we wont be so crazy busy then-well see

Hope Everyone has a Great Night :wave2:

OK-I got to leave work early tonight-but not because we were slow (which we were):headache:

DS-Kyle called and told me he fell off a flight of stairs and thinks he broke something :scared:

Well He was right-Broke his Pelvis-Right side only!!!!! Ughhhh no surgery though just absolutely no weight bearing :sad2:

Ortho Doctor will let us know more next week when we see them-Oh Joy Joy!!!

and how do you think he did this....Oh just being the typical teenager

Thought he could jump down a flight of steps verus walking down them-climbed up and over the safety rail (imagine that a safety rail) and then slipped and fell backwards to the ground about 6-7 ft down onto his hip, ontot he cement bricks-Ouchy!!!!

Such poise and balance I'm telling you-No Fun at all!!!!

Sorry! :sad2: You're right, they really should have called all of them off for the day - or at least any of them that would have been played in the rain or while it was still really wet out. Soccer played on a soaked field is just asking for trouble!

Oh, Kim, I'm so sorry! Is he in a lot of pain??

Okay - maybe he's not so worried about the pain, the broken pelvis or what the doctor will say next week. Maybe he's more worried about whether or not mom is going to kill him! ;)

You know me too well-Kyle too-that's why he didn't call an ambulance there(it happened at Georgia Tech)-I'm such a bad Mom ;) And I almost didn't bring him to the ED-since He could put weight on it and bend it somewhat without pain

Oh, Kim, I'm so sorry! Is he in a lot of pain??

He's laying on the couch and any shifting of weight or slight movement sets it off now-I better go soon to get his prescription of pain meds filled- DH was like good-pain to remind you how dumb that was-I reminded DH that once he was 15 too

It wasn't too bad except it was wet and cold-game time the temps were only 43-reminded us of Wisconsin soccer :cold:

OK-I have to work again tonight-heading back to bed after checking the Big Goof Ball-He's sleeping OK so far-but it will be awhile til he can sleep in his own bed upstairs(good thing we have a daybed down on the main floor)-now to figure out how to get him in the shower :scratchin

He might have to crawl up there for that one-DH said I should just give him a sponge bath-that went over well with Kyle :rotfl:

What was he doing at Georgia Tech?

I tend to side with your DH on this one! ;)

Yeah, I remember those kinds of cold games when the boys played! Brrr!

How about just hosing him off in the front yard! :lmao:

A sponge bath - given to him by his mom - at his age would probably scar him for life! :rotfl:

Maybe this will help...
