Oh....and for anyone interested, the Australian elections held 2.5 weeks ago....finally a result.

We have two major parties and the votes fell this way:
Liberal - 73 seats
Labour - 72 seats

Of the remaining seats:
Greens - 1 seat. They decided to support the Labour party.

We have 3 independents, that took the last 2.5 weeks to decide which way they were going to fall:
One independent is supporting the Liberal party.
And the other two indies...will support Labour.

Thus our existing Labour party retains government by the slimmest of margins
76 to 74!
Our outgoing Prime Minister is our in-coming Prime Minister and she is a woman, Julia Gillard.

This will mean that the country will go further into debt; as a Labour government has the reputation of spending money; without restraint. Hopefully the independents will keep them in check otherwise we are likely to be heading back to the polls again! My money is on another election in 18 - 24 months (rather than the full 3 year term).

Geez!!!!! You two were really yammering away! At this rate, we will end the game before our weekend in the USA! I hope I'm around for it. I will be in and out a lot this week I have a ton going on!

Dana,
I don't think a DVC Grand Villa would work for you folks, you have to commit to it and can't have people flaking out at the last minute. Plus you should reserve 11 months in advance!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. With the uncertainty of who'd be going, it'd just be easier for everyone to handle their own reservations. I've also made it clear to my family that I'm not handling everyone's dining reservations :lmao: I'm making a big group reservation for everyone (probably at Hoop Dee Doo) and am planning a surprise :ssst: for everyone at Epcot :)

That's smart of you! Our only vacation with others was this last January, we took my parents and that was OK, we "paid" for the accomodations and the flight (frequent flyer miles). They paid for a lot of the dinners and we ate at some hoity toity places, well you read my dining review!

I made all the reservations because they had no idea of where to go and no desire to figure anything out! I asked them questions like, "Would you rather eat at Fulton's or Flying Fish?", my mom found the menus and she actually showed me that Disney had started to post copies of the menus online at their website. In the past I had recevied all my information from allears.net!

In the future we plan on taking some of our friends, one older friend that we plan to take in April 2012ish we will also make all the reservations and we'll get a 1 Br Villa at the AKV (it has two potties!). We'll also have to treat her for the most part as she is on a fixed income. Other than that, when we take friends, it will only be one couple at a time. We will get at 2 BR lock off (meaning that there are two entrances, we get a 1 Br and they get a studio, but they are linked) and we will make a couple dining reservations together and plan on maybe a couple dinners together in the room. Other than that, they will be on their own, unless they want to move at our slow pace!

I have a feeling that I'll wind up taking care of reservations for my sister and her daughter, at least, but I don't want to be wrangling five or six different sets of reservations :lmao: My brother and his girlfriend are vegan anyway (well, she is and he tries), so they can handle their own ::yes::

princess::upsidedow is in the fleeting last position.....where I belong :goodvibes

Alison - It's about 7.30 pm Aussie time. I see a green light on against your name.....if it is real, what are you still doing up????

Dana, you came back!

Sharon... I am green but we are now just heading to :cloud9:

Long day and a longer one tomorrow. Fran taunted me with going out to the parks, but she has wised up that we have more important (and expensive) things to do, so I will see you both on the better side of what I woud say is tomorrow but is it already today!
