Awwww, poor kitty I hope you and Fran are doing well with the loss of your cat

I don't know why it was a shocker to me when the vet said "it was time" I should have realized on the way in because she had been so lethargic, but I guess I was in denial. We have plenty more kitties and while I loved her, my Sunny kitty will be the one that puts me over the edge, but hopefully she has another good 10 years or so....

Yeah, I know how you feel When I was a senior in high school, we had to put our dog down. He had a heart condition and there was nothing we could do for him that would keep him alive. It was basically A) pay thousands of dollars for procedures that wouldn't prolong his life, or B) love on him until it was time to let him go. We chose B, and my dad buried him on our land in Wisconsin. We got him when I was about 12 or so and had him for a long time. When we got him, he was just this brown ball of fluff, since he was a Husky-shepherd mutt. He was a fantastic dog, and we still miss him, even though we have Delilah now.

Henry was born somewhere after President Clinton's first inauguartion and Fran remembers this becuase she should have had a hysterctomy before that event, but the Lesbian and Gay Band Association was invited to perform at that event and she wasn't going to miss that for the world, so she stalled her DR. (I didn't know her then) so that she could go to DC and perform in the inauguration (they didn't march in the parade because Obama was the first to have a Gay band march in his parade, but I think Clinton was the first to have a gay band play in the seated organizations while his motocade went past)

Anyways, Henry Lee was almost 20 years old. Her sister Jimmy Lee is still alive and kicking.

Also, someone PLEASE stop me from reading menus on AllEars! I'm not looking to change my reservations anywhere, I just keep drifting over to the Ghirardelli menu and stuff like that. You know, things I really shouldn't have.

I'm very sorry for your loss poor baby. When we had to put our cat Fluffy down a few years ago she was over 20 yrs old too. My youngest DD got her when she was in elementary school its always hard

Hey all..so let me tell you what happened yesterday the county mosquito inspectors (2) came and while I held Maxine they went in to her area and shot checmicals into what I now know is a SWAMP !

Now I knew we lived in the Green Swamp area in the county and the state property is directly behind ours but it never occurred to me that the swamp ran right through our property. I thought it was a creek or something. Sooo with equipment (think Ghost Busters) on one of their backs and loud noise I found out exactly how this horse with the big ole heart trusts me. She was SO good (I didn't show her I was panicking inside that she would spook) she kept making eye contact with me while I held her halter and talked sweetly to her. She was perfect. ! They are advising the county that we need helicopters to spray for the mosquitos on an ongoing basis. I am so grateful I had the sense to contact them
