today is DD's first day of work... she is working at the renaissance faire in Bristol WI which is about 5 minutes from our house.

I don't know how or why she wanted that job, she hates the heat, bugs, and being in crowds. I think that also pretty much describes the renaissance faire too

oh well, she's 16 she'll figure it out.

that's the kicker of the whole thing....

there is no MONEY!!! She is working for free passes for family and friends. What a gimmick!! She has been going to 8 weeks of "training" with no pay, so DH says at least you'll get a paycheck now that its opening, and she said -- no dad, I only get passes. oh well, its better than doing nothing.
