Yesterday afternoon was not a good day. Our German Shepard passed away. He just went to sleep and didn't wake up.

He was 11 years old and his hip was starting to give him some trouble. So now he is at peace.

Ashli is so upset.

We keep telling Ash that he is now at the Rainbow Bridge with our Greyhound. She was waiting for him to play.

But it still hurts. Those animals just seem to steal our hearts.

Sorry to hear about your Fur Baby Kelli-but it sure seemed like a peaceful way to go on-Hope Ash feels better about this soon

We are halfway thru the week.

I have to work tonight! This is the first time that I've closed the store in about 2-1/2 years! And, believe it or not, I did the schedule! Everyone at work is having a field day with this - so sure that I won't remember what I'm supposed to do.

The killer will be tomorrow, though. I close tonight, which means I won't get home until after midnight and then I have to be in at 8:30 tomorrow morning! I used to do that all the time but I'm out of practice now....and old!

I actually did it on purpose. For one thing - I needed to force myself to close so that I can prove to myself that I can still do it! And my thoughts are that it will be nice to close once in a while just to keep an eye on some of the employees that I almost never see because they only work nights - kind of seeing how the other half works! And - it was nice to have yesterday off and then not have to go in until 4 today - kind of a little bonus time around the house!
