Happy Birthday Queenie.

Another ones? :faint:
Yes another....
He decided today was the day to tell me it would be up to a year before he could visit here again and was pissed off I was maintaining that I won't visit him until he comes here again. :confused3

The cake was my one bastion of the day...and I don't even get the one I want.

Thanks  It's just frustrating. I'm qualified for every job I've applied for, but they won't call me.

That is by FAR the worst. I was actually perfect meeting every criteria for one. And they had the nerve to send me the "you don't meet the requirements" email
It's just so many applying the firms are getting really good people and paying peanuts. "overqualified" for that particular job if you will. Or at the other end students who can be paid under minimum wage until they have 6 months experience :confused3

Well...you are unemployed and still haven't got an income streaming in...but it is hard.

Why don't you go out and buy the cake you want? Your own present to yourself? :thumbsup2

Back from the concert, have to say that the admission price alone was worth it to hear Richard Sherman sing his songs. He is the true Stephen Foster of the 20th century! Just amazing! My background is not in popular music, I am a classical and jazz snob and still he makes me cry with every tune he sings. I will be attending each one of these events just to hear him sing until he dies. Probably after that I will still attend each one, but for right now, just to hear him close out the program makes the whole thing worth it (even though I enjoyed all the other parts too!)

I finally saw Tron the other day. Can I just say....*yawn*? The effects were good and the ending was good...but in between....??? *yawn*....(sorry).

I liked it, but I'm a big geek :lmao:

I'm sorry you didn't get the cake you wanted :(

But yeah, it's really really frustrating. I get those "We've decided on more qualified candidates" emails all the time, which is really annoying, since I KNOW I'm qualified for a stupid housekeeping position.

I just like music! Really really really envious! Wish I were there to hear Richard Sherman sing songs.

I heard that from a few people. He is amazing. Glad you enjoyed it ::yes::

And to those wondering...I do like my birthday cake very much...blackforest....with extra blackforest on top....

I'd go and get my own but I have a feeling I might get another as compensation given how miserable I am with my migraine

Okay lasters.. I need to do some practise. I've also got another update on my retrospective TR to post....might do that later...(assuming Firefly is going to wander in to check it out at some stage????).

oooo....she's holding it over your head :lmao:

I think I'll go lie down in hope my head doesn't explode...
If it does I'll try and take a photo for you

I'm just too tired to comment or make a decision. Love the fact that your're doing a TR PIO.

Sorry the BD cake wasn't all it was cracked up to be queenie.

Dana, sucks about the job, especially since it was sort of a no brainer.

Tired and just emotionally wiped from crying at every one of those RS songs. Man they just pulled at every single one of the heart strings, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Chitty, chitty bang, bang, Jungle book, carousel of progress, and they went on and on, for the finale they brought out dream catcher and figment and did the whole "Imagination.....thing" I LOVE figment. The ending was kind of a let down, it was the WDW choir and orchestra and while they were good, to follow Richard Sherman is no easy task.

I came home and cooked a pound of bacon in the oven so that made things better, we didn't eat it all, but we had a few strips. Tomorrow we'll have it for breakfast and possibly lunch if not the next day. We would have BLT's but friggin Garden Grocer didn't bring the L. They were supposed to redliver it yesterday, but never did. Forget me ever recommending them again!

Anyways going to go enjoy the jacuzzi tub and forget all the other problems! Good night!

How is everyone tonight? It rained, hailed, thundered, and had lighting here today. Goodnight Alison and enjoy that tub.
