Because they say the one they have is not big enough. It going out toward the airport. Now they wanted to put a new one where calexpo is which is in the middle of town so to speak. The old is, well was out in the middle of nothing when it got built.

Ah, okay. I guess I'm just used to arenas and such being remodeled and renamed. There's this outdoor music venue in the southern suburbs that's been renamed at least three times since I went to a concert there when I was 16. I think it's the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater or something now?

It is a waste of money in my eyes to build a new one. They also say it isnt big enough for other things outside of the games. I mean they only play so many games in it.

Yeah, that's a waste. When the crowds at Soldier Field here outgrew the space, they just added more bleacher seats on top. It looks ridiculous, but it utilized the space already there.

We shall see they want to make a new arena. So who knows what they will do.

That is the hold up for keeping them forever right? Next year is a extension from what I heard, but not a promise to stay forever.

I'm fine with modernizing stadiums. But building them cheap and only for a single use is dumb.

To keep them from moving to Anaheim.

Is this for sure? Does Anaheim want them? Are they willing to build a place for them?

Just curious since I don't follow basketball and don't read papers from LA. So I've only heard about this in the DIS.
