Doesn't sound like a good meeting...3 hours?

Well it started that way and most of the meetings are just blah blah blah. The co got sued and it was not pretty they owed managers alot of money. There was always drama I hated it. No matter what hr usually got called and I would get asked did you hear so and so and my honest answer no. One time I was at the end of the table and did not want to partake in any conversation. Oh the storys I could tell.

Meetings were usually far away so long hours for meetings about 8 hrs

Not just meeting storys either alot happend at the staions I took care of. Some of them were a laugh a minute.

Queenie - if you want to play with us, you need to be snarky without being rude. I saw your post earlier today and I figured that was the closest you were getting to saying sorry. I was just thinking about what I wanted to do.

Lighten up a little and stop thinking that the world is against you. I know I invited you to come and play; but my lasting family here is Dana and Alison...and Usnuz and skiingfast are becoming part of that family too. It isn't a dictatorship as much as it is a community....and I look after my family.

You know - we are all intelligent beings and sometimes we can make mistakes.
The trick is to be able to laugh at ourselves, along with our friends, rather than to be upset when they laugh at you.
If you wanna play, you're going to have to stop thinking that we're rude or that we think less of you.
We're all snarky here but no one crosses the line into rudeness....and if they do, it does get picked up.

I don't expect that some of the other Lasters on this thread will be able to put up with that kind of c$$p and you should expect the same kind of responses whenever you trip up. Heck - that's part of the fun. The other part of the fun is the conversation. It isn't about posting a smilie or a picture every 40 seconds. Post...be last.....wait for someone else to come along...sometimes it may be 3 days before someone responds....be cheeky about being LAST; not personal attacks.

You know that the Americans think differently to the Aussies. What is tolerated on that part of the board...you can find on the Community Board. Not on LAST.

Usnuz - You entertained me a lot when we met. The one thing I wished was that we could have had more time to spend face to face last January. It was great being able to see Alison twice during that visit and just get to know her body language better. Wish we could have done the same.

Queenie...we're here; you just need to accept that sometimes you're gonna hear stuff or get advice that you don't wanna hear. But credit us with some intelligence....IQ....and EQ, emotional intelligence. Most of us here have quite a few years on you...we don't expect you to accept what we say....just read, process it and move on.

Otherwise, if you keep lashing out, you might find that no one will wanna help you out.

You learn to debate in good ways. I am not usually interested in someones polotics. There are many other things I would rather know. But if it does come up just talk about it. It can be discussed in a civilized way. I learned some things from all of it. So all is good I am not mad at anyone I just kick back.

It seems that I have a knack for listening to people and for people just wanting to tell me stuff.

DH travels to Silicon Valley a lot. There will be a next time.
