We love Oz so much that we like to be reminded where we are from.....besides which, it separates out the Islanders from the Mainlanders.

Yes I got one of those living social deals for a wash, massage, cut, treatment and blow dry. $29
I've never had anything like this. I don't spend a lot on haircuts and it bugs me no end that a 5-10min trim costs about $30!! So this was bliss...

I have long hair (always have) and have for the past years basically been letting it grow. Cutting about every 6-8 months.

I'd post a "post" photo but the one I took to show BF isn't flattering enough for the public...lol...look stoned...

My haircuts are in the city; I managed to find on that charges $40....and then $50.....and now $60. Think I'm on the hunt for a new hairdresser soon.

That's not entirely the reason...the reason is more to do with a proactive government in DC.
In Paris during winter (and a European winter is nasty) we found about 20 homeless in sleeping bags at the metro station near where we were staying...and it isn't a huge station.

Reminds me of a story I heard about San Francisco, they had a terrible homeless problem, so the way the mayor solved it was he gave everyone a free bart ticket anywhere in the Bay Area! The other cities didn't like it much, but took care of the problem in SF!

Two minutes later a bum comes by asking for money to get a cheeseburger. I said "Buddy you are in luck I have an extra cheeseburger right here". Reach in the bag and hand him a burger. He walks away mumbling, "All I really wanted was money to get a drink."(obsenities removed) Too bad I had drank all my beer.

That's why I'll give them food. The LA homeless people are mostly appreciative of food, but there is one guy who stands by the freeway with a sign, "I won't lie, I want a beer." That may appeal to some people, but not me, I think you should work for the luxuries in life.

Don't know if you'll read this before you go but you still have a rental car right??
Could ask the people at the depot when you hand the car in.
We've had left over water bottles and stuff when we hand in a car and the staff have been appreciative.
Now this has always been packaged goods rather than 'made' but just a final thought on the topic...

At least you get a style cut though. All I get is a quick dry cut as he flys around the room doing other things. Top guy for short hairstyles....but he seems so see me as a bore...
I think he's actually about $35 now for my mum who has short hair...which by the sounds is cheap??
