It's winter here.....that means Footy, Aussie Rules. At least it does in Melbourne.

Cricket is a summer sport.


This is the Melbourne Cricket Ground, home to Cricket in Summer and AFL (Australian Football League) footy in Winter.

I took this on the Thursday before Grand Final last year.

Grand final parade day is on the Friday.

No I meant is NFL, you know the LA Raiders, New York Giants, Miami Dolphins. Do they own some of the AFL?

Sorry....I was mistaking NFL with NRL.

The NFL is what you have in the US. We don't have a NFL here....AFL it is, owned by themselves and quite wealthy.

That was pretty bad, but sort of rare for where it occurred so it adds to the shock value.

I know some people who live in Nashville and they've had the sirens go off a few times but thankfully not been hit in their area
