Question for you guys... How many chances would you give someone that you're romantically interested in before giving up on them?

There's this guy I know that I'm interested in, and I know he's interested in me as well. However, the first week of this month, we were supposed to get together, but he never got back in touch with me. I'd sent him an email on Wednesday of that week, to see if we were still on, didn't hear from him, so I sent him a text Friday morning. Never heard from him. Then last night, I heard from him. He said he was having a lot of work issues going on, possibly involving a lawsuit to recoup his compensation that a client was refusing to pay. I like to give people benefit of the doubt, and this is the second time this has happened with this guy. The first time, he said he fell asleep after a stressful day at work and didn't wake up until I texted him to see if we were still getting together that night.

A good friend of mine has basically just told me that I'm an idiot for giving him a third chance this weekend. I've already told him that he's not the only one I'm getting together with this weekend, so I need to know what day so I can schedule with the other guy as well.

Do you guys think I should give him a third (and final) chance, or should I just blow him off, even though I've already told him I want to get together this weekend?

If you've already made arrangements the I'd keep them. If he doesn't show up or confirm then don't worry about it and just do something else.

Yeah, I mean, if he doesn't show or confirm, we'd just be going to the club we're both members at anyway, so I'd be there regardless and can just hang out with my friends. I'm just annoyed at my friend. I don't know exactly what's going on with this guy and if he was legitimately busy or not, but I'm going to make sure he knows that it's not right to do that. It takes just a few seconds to send a "hey, what's up" text. But yeah, it'll get sorted out, one way or another.

There are definite ways a man is suppose to treat a woman. If a man wants to see you he is going to call you and let you know what is going on. You dont ignore phone calls. Just remember if you end up marrying someone who displays wrong motives and habits you can not change them. Alot of women think they can change a man and its just not so. If you would like an example pm me and I will tell you as it is pretty harsh what happend. But there is so much more involved.

Wishing you the best. Totally understand not spilling all vents on here.
Relationships are hard. Especially when they're complicated. I see you mention he's older. He's a tiny bit older than my man. Adds to complications...but there can still be a real connection.
So I hope you can have a proper date to at least find out if it's worth pursuing. But if he messes you around without reason then I wouldn't play with that fire.
