I dont think I ever did, maybe most of the night but not the whole night

In my hazy days of self discovery in the mid 80's:rolleyes1

Many times when I worked 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. to midnight, sometimes 1:30 a.m.). Trout fishing takes place at 6:00 and my favorite spot is a 2-hour drive. So, we'd go out to the bar after work, close it down & just stay up. Sometime after supper, I'd get REAL tired :lmao: Also took a few trips with a buddy of mine who worked days. He'd come get me when I got off work at midnight, then he'd sleep while I drove. Sometime around 7:00 or so, he'd wake up & take over while I slept. We live about an hour West of STL and I distinctly remember him waking one time somewhere West of Topeka to take over, and I slept most of the way to Limon, CO.

When DW & I (now on 1st shift) were dating, we flew to Vegas for a weekend. Our return flight was delayed, plus we lost 2 hours in time zone changes on the way home. We landed early Monday morning, I drove her home, drove myself home, took a shower, then went straight to work. I made it with 5 minutes to spare. Fell asleep about 6:30 that night :lmao:

2 nights ago. I have kids home from college and they are on college time. I hope to break them soon so we all get some sleep!

Back in March. I used to work the overnight shift at my job. I've been off since the beginning of March for medical reasons and when I go back in a few weeks I will be switching to the day shift. It's hard staying up all night. I never was able to switch over to sleeping during the day.

I can't do it. I couldn't even do it back in college. My roommate pulled all-nighters all the time studying for finals. By 1 or 2 I'd turn out the light and say I valued fresh brain cells more than a little more study time.

Why last Friday night/Saturday morning 24 hour Magic Kingdom adventure, of course!

I work 7p-7a... so it was last night, but I go to sleep after I get off. The latest I can usually make to is 11am.

I'm such a nightowl though, always have been. I've had numerous opportunities to change my shift and just cannot fathom the thought of having to be up, and ready to start work, at 7am.

Tuesday.
But my trainee brought in Chinese food. So it was a pretty good night.

October 2nd- 3rd. DS #3 decided that he had to be held or else he would cry. I was in the hospital and not allowed to co-sleep. Yeah no rest for this mommy.

Same with me. Also a nurse who worked nights (by choice) and now that I no longer work, I find myself sitting up all alone until around 3-4 a.m. Just can't get turned around.

2 years ago. I worked nights for many years until I quit to stay at home with my daughter. Although I've been up with her throughout the night many times since, luckily it's never been all night.

A few times in the last few months with DD....Non sleeping babies tend to keep you up...:coffee:
