last online

where does it show when I was last online in the forums? It's not where it used to be right under my username where I logged in at. If I click my username it says I was last in the forums just a few seconds ago, not really that helpful, lol.
The forums used to highlight only threads that I hadn't seen since the last time I was online but now it highlights threads 10 pages deep in other words highlighting threads that I HAD seen since the last time I was online.
So I don't know how far to go back looking at threads, help?

When you click on your avatar, the last line on the right hand side shows when and where you last were (unless you've unchecked that option in your profile). It only stays up there for a while, it's not permanent, however.

The marker that there are posts you haven't read is the dot in front of the thread title. Usually in conjuction with the title being bolded. Once read, it's no longer bolded and the dot is gone. I've noticed, however, if you open a thread thus marked and read the posts and then just use the "back" arrow to get back to the main page, it will still show that you have unread posts there. You actually have to go away from the forum for it to drop off.

I don't believe the new system shows when your last (prior) log-on occurred -- date and time. When you aren't logged in, I can see that you were last online yesterday at 10:52pm; however, as you've discovered, once you are logged in it will show where you were most recently (the forum list or elsewhere). The system now remembers what you have read and what you haven't even from one session to the next, whereas previously once you logged out it marked everything as if you had read it.

What you can do is go to the top of the boards, on the light blue menu bar under the word "Forum" and select "Mark Forums Read" -- do this before you log out. It will mark absolutely everything thread/post/forum as read (or you can select a certain forum to mark as read). Then the next time you log-in, only forums/threads/posts since your last visit will be bolded as new. Any threads you have read should automatically pop to the first unread post.
