It better weaken or we are all in trouble.

I saw that!!! I can't believe the hurricane season we're having this year!

ALright! I hate to post and run but I better get back to work :guilty:

Hi Tracy. :wave2:

Kelli, I read you were :chat: . :rotfl2:
I hope Friday night is o.k. for you...looks like it will hit on Saturday afternoon. To bad we can't beam people around...you guys could stay here and hit the beach instead. :boat:

On the bright side (if there is one) it seems as though it will move really fast over the state...hopefully that will lesson the flooding potential. If you have to evacuate, I would think that WDW is one of the best places to have a room reservation....isn't it built to Cat. 5 standards?

I think so. But not sure.

As long as it hit south of Tampa we will be on the better side of the storm. We will be getting the wind from inland. The right side of the storm is the stronger side.

I wish the storm would shift more south and hit the everglades. A nice unpopulared area. Than it would weaken as it moved across the state.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: go south, go south, :wizard: :wizard: weaken, weaken :wizard: :wizard: hit cold water, hit cold water :wizard: :wizard: have an eye replacement (whatever that is), eye replacement :wizard: :wizard:

I hate the not knowing what it is going to do. You have all this panic going on around you.

A friend from out of state just e-mailed me asking if I can feel the storm yet? :confused3 And what I plan to do and blah blah blah. Prepare for a storm maybe. :confused3

I'm back....

and I'm confused. :confused3

This is from weather.com

"Fluctuations in intensity are likely, but Wilma is forecast to remain an extremely dangerous Category 5 hurricane through Thursday. The projected track of the storm takes it through the Yucatan Channel into the extreme southern Gulf of Mexico Friday. After that, Wilma is expected to come under the influence of westerly winds aloft blowing across the Gulf. That should hurl the hurricane toward the Florida Peninsula, probably the southern part of the peninsula, this weekend. Wilma is expected to be weakening by then, but weakening is a relative term and Wilma may still be a major hurricane (winds over 110 mph) when it makes landfall."

Now isn't the Peninsula similar to the panhandle of FL? Or are they just calling all of Fl a peninsula?

I think they are calling the whole state of FL. the peninsula. And the southern part would be toward Ft. Myers, Naples and south. I think anyways. :confused3
