Dial up is the worst for multi-tasking and keeping several windows open. I have dreams of grandeur of getting DSL and setting up a wireless network throughout the house. **sigh** But my lack of knowledge in this area is helping me drag my feet about getting started!

ah yes.... when dh wanted to do a cable modem, I was like.. NO way.. to expensive.. what a waste!!

Now, I go crazy when the net is down!! we have a network in the house. It is set up in a bedroom closet upstairs, and then we put all the wires through the attic into each room so all the connections. and then one outside on the back of the house to get downstairs.

It is the best thing ever!! Now we have all of our TiVo's hooked into the network, we can listen to our mp3 on them, look at our photo albums on them. We transfer shows to different rooms.

And I NEVER have to listen to that ~~~*(***~~XX$$@@@#%^ noise dialing up again
