i think we use vinegar to do our eggs...

You know...I always thought that the vinegar had something to do with activating those little color tablets. But maybe it has something to do with sealing the colors onto the eggs???

The Easter Bunny was certainly good to us here. He even left a basket for Heather although she didn't make it home.

The highlight was that the Easter Bunny hid 216 (yes, 216!) eggs. Some were easy for A.J. but some were very challenging this year. They've found all but 1. I say they but it was mostly Matthew. He hunted all day.

awwww but WOW!!

Today Allen and I are celebrating our 24th anniversary.

He has to work part of the day. He has to go in around 12 and the Sheriff's Office has to present their budget requests for the department to the county manager at 3. The Sheriff has told DH that since it's our anniversary he can present his portion of the budget request for his department first and then he'll be free to leave after that part of the budget meeting. We'll see about that. Knowing DH he'll want to stay until the end of the meeting, which is fine.

There has been talk that a certain DH is going to take me to Outback tonight! (Just he and I - no kids)

Good thing you thought to read them. I probably would have looked at the paper and been like "Instruction sheet for a quilt, and tossed it aside.

One of my goals for getting better was that I wanted to be able to fix our usual (big) Easter dinner tomorrow (with a little help). We've invited our friends and their son over. I changed a few of the traditional items that we have to some others that I can make ahead.

The menu includes:

Ham
Roast Beef
Coleslaw
Mashed Potatoes
Candied Sweet Potatoes (being brought by my friend)
Asparagus with Honey Mustard
Scalloped Veggies
Creamed Spinach
Baby Corn
Green Bean Casserole (a last minute addition at the request of our friend's son )
Surprise Dessert (being brought by my friend)
Apple Pie
Carrot Cake

How's it sound???

looks like we should have headed SE instead of SW on our road trip

My friend and I were talking about scrapbooks the other day and I told her I need to start a scrapbook of the house. All the before and after pics. We bought this house 16 years ago and it has been nothing but a work-in-progress ever since.

Yeah, I guess I'll put it on my "things to do in my lifetime" list.

well I hope that the list is short or that its close to the top of the list. A scrapbook (ok I am scrapaholic) will be part of your family history!!!

or send me the pics and I'll stick em in an album for you!!!! then all you have to do is write about it or put comments and stuff.
