I booked a Segway Tour around the World at Epcot for my Ladies trip at the end of the month and now they have a Segway recall.... That sucks.

But I just called WDW Tours and was told that the Segway tour is only cancelled for the 14th and 15th at this time. They will contract us if anything changes and refund our money. So we might still be doing the tour. Keeping my fingers crossed that they fix the glitch and the tour will go on. :thumbsup2

:wizard:

Do you know what the reason for the recall was??

There have been six incidents reported nationwide which resulted in a range of injuries. Broken teeth, broken wrist and a facial injury requiring surgery are among the complaints.

I am wearing full head gear to be safe.... :teeth:

That just seems to be a safety issue, that's the reason for the being able to use the full head gear!! Just like trampolines (sorry Kayla) but there are risks involved and you pretty much know those risks when you get on. Shouldn't be a reason for a recall??????

There is a software glitch that needs to be fixed. And it is voluntary recall right now.

They only make you wear a helmet. I was joking about the full head gear..... :teeth:

I will wear the teeth thingy and faceplate that football players wear.

Oh, okay, so there is a real glitch somewhere, it's not just that some people have fallen or gotten hurt.

I can't see WDW losing too much business 'cause of it. They'll work to get it fixed quickly, I'm sure!

Don't those things take some coordination?? :lmao: I'd never be able to do it!

I don't know but I will let you know after I give it a try. :thumbsup2
