well, our network card is acting up today, and the only way that I can get on the www is to hook up directly to the router, which involves standing up and computing from the boys closet... NOT fun at all!

So I am going to log off for a bit. I'll try to hop back on again later before I head to work

i hope she feels better too...

here is some sage advice from the P to the A...
Always, always, always read the lables...
you or your children might suffer because of the lack of use of eyesight...

:guilty: :grouphug: I hope she feels better soon Kelli. Thank goodness she called you and you knew what to do.

Yesterday, my mom put a glitter shower gel in DD hair/bangs thinking it was a hair gel that could be left in and did not read the label that is was a bath gel which should be washed out and not put near/in eyes :sad2: I couldn't beleive she didn't read the label and when I read it and told her (since it smelled way too strong) she was :confused3 :sad2:
poor kid, she cried when it got wet and some may have gotten in her eyes and burned and I had to really wash it out good, trying not to get it anymore of it in her eyes...

Wow. Poor thing. I bet it did burn her eyes. :grouphug:

Sad thing is that these are GROWN adults who are not reading labels.

What a horrible day. I am so down and than I go and read a really bad thread about something that someone did to a dog. :sad2:

why do people not read the lables!?!...
here is something funny...
these are some really funny lables...
On Sears hairdryer:
Do not use while sleeping.
(Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair!)

On a bag of Fritos:
You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
(The shoplifter special!)

On a bar of Dial soap:
Directions: Use like regular soap.
(and that would be how?)

On some Swann frozen dinners:
Serving suggestion: Defrost.
(But it's 'just' a suggestion!)

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert: (printed on bottom of the box)
Do not turn upside down.
(Too late! you lose!)

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding:
Product will be hot after heating.
(Are you sure? Let's experiment.)

On packaging for a Rowenta iron:
Do not iron clothes on body.
(But wouldn't that save more time?)(Whose body?)

On Boot's Children's cough medicine:
Do not drive car or operate machinery.
(We could do a lot to reduce the construction accidents if we just kept those 5 year olds off those fork lifts.)

On Nytol sleep aid:
Warning: may cause drowsiness.
(One would hope!)

On a Korean kitchen knife:
Warning: keep out of children.
(hmm...something must have gotten lost in the translation...)

On a string of Christmas lights:
For indoor or outdoor use only.
(As opposed to use in outer space.)

On a food processor:
Not to be used for the other use.
(Now I'm curious.)

On Sainsbury's peanuts:
Warning: contains nuts.
(but no peas?)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts:
Instructions: open packet, eat nuts.
(somebody got paid big bucks to write this one...)

On a Swedish chainsaw:
Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands.
(Raise your hand if you've tried this...)

On a child's Superman costume:
Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.
(Oh go ahead! That's right, destroy a universal childhood belief.)

I can only image.

Everytime I said something to my Mom in the ER she started crying.

On one hand I felt so relieved it was not her immediate health and the next I was like what where you thinking. :sad2:

:grouphug: well, it could have been way worse....your mom is alive and getting medical help for the inhalation.

I have been trying not to go onto the CB as much...way too depressing. I was on the Suri thread for a while..then it went from funny to scary :guilty: I sort of like our new home here....I am not as tempted to gloss over titles like in the past and get drawn into yucky threads.

oh well...
did you guys get to read the funny instructions i found...

Lyn any updates on your weather?
yep...it is down to a Cat. 1 and now it looks like it might reach us a strong tropical storm....so, I think that is really good. We could use some rain, just don't want high winds. I think we may have been lucky if this is the case because after it leaves our area they are currently prediciting it will pick up steam and head across to Asia

It really is a mess over there.

I love our new home here. There has been allot of drive by posting from new faces. Which is great.

Yes Lissa - I read those. Makes you wonder about people when they have to put those kind of labels.
