On a good note...I had the stress test done Tuesday and the cardiologist called me Tuesday afternoon and said that everything looked great!

Well it is almost time for me to go. And we are going to the hospital tonight. My niece had her baby at 1:30 this morning. Little girl 7lbs 18" long.
Novalie is her name.
Not sure of the spelling.

OK UGH! I'm mad!!! I needed to make some payments TODAY! My mom called and gave me the cc number but not the exp date and I can't call her b/c Andie has her cell phone in San Antonio WHICH she spilled water on and now it doesn't work


OH! and to top it all off! I still haven't heard from Mike
I am BEYOND PISSED at him! He can just forget he has a daughter b/cI don't want another thing to do with him!

ok, I had to look it up in my dictionary.

gout:a disease in which defective metabolism of uric acid causes arthritis, esp. in the smaller bones of the feet, deposition of chalkstones, and episodes of acute pain.

so it's in your bones? I was picturing something like gangreen(sp?) that was on the outside.

The small joint at the base of the big toe is the most common site of an acute gout attack. Other joints that can be affected include the ankles, knees, wrists, fingers, and elbows. Acute gout attacks are characterized by a rapid onset of pain in the affected joint followed by warmth, swelling, reddish discoloration, and marked tenderness. Tenderness can be intense so that even a blanket touching the skin over the affected joint can be unbearable.

This also explains why my big toes have been numb since last fall!

I don't understand completely, but DMil side of the family has gout and other illness like it (like DH's things) and I had thought it was sort of in the joints....so at times it can be very, very painful and some people aren't able to walk on it....I think diet has a great affect on some people (like DH's uncle eats shellfish and his gout acts up).

It is VERY painful, and causes swelling and redness. My foot was also shiny and a little discolored this morning. Last night I couldn't even put a sheet over it because it was so sensitive and painful. I just took my second dose of medicine for it and it is so much better than this morning.

the bad thing is that this weekend i have this big tournament in Lexington, KY, and i hafta go down there tomorrow night with people that i'm not really friends with but my bro is friends with one of them...
so anyway, my mom gets to have fun while i work my but off playing soccer...
