Well, I'm off to tackle the house! I've had so much going on the past two weeks that I've really let the house and the laundry slide. I'm now going to show both the house and the laundry who's boss around here!!!!!

Do they actually read the meter each month? I know when we lived down there they only read the meter every other month and would estimate if they didn't read it. Then a lot of times we would end up having a larger bill once they actually read it!

My bill says ACTUAL not Estimated. And the lady was going round and round with me. Than she says "Why would he lie". HELLO maybe he is not doing his job.

I said you don't find it odd that this bill has more usage than any in the past.

Man she was P'ing me off big time.

She was like are you running your air. Hello it has been BEAUTIFUL Spring weather here. No I did not run my air in March when I didn't have to.

And if I did run my air than I wouldn't be surprised by the LARGE usage amount.
I would just pay it and be done with it.

I don't believe I USED the amount of watts you are telling me.

The guy came out and it was read wrong. They adjusted the bill for us.

When I called the lady I had the number my meter is reading right now. and she was like well that is right in line with what he said it was last time.

And funny how it is allot less than the past month.

they take your last 12 months of useage and divide it by 12 and that is your monthly bill for the next year. They still read the meter, but it gets accumulated during the summer, and then paid off during the winter. They do a check of your bill and adjust it up or down once a year to make sure you're still on track.

It has worked out so nice for me. I do it now with our gas bill too.
