I'm glad you found something to laugh about
When DH's father DIed in Nov03
it was like that amonst his three grown adult sons
all calling each other

do you have a tie??
Can i use your black shirt??
don't you still have my tie tac??

kinda funny
DH ended up having to buy a whole new suit cause he had gained weight since the last time he needed one
so my Mom took him "christmas shopping" and paid for the whole thing since we were shelling out money for the grave and everything

After DH "settled down" and tried on his real outfit he found that he's gained a little weight so he has to go shopping today!

I've got to tell you what DH did last night. We're all getting our outfits figured out and I told him he needed to get his too. Well, one thing about DH is his sense of humor, weird as it may be sometimes. And that's one thing Nana and Grandpa have always loved and appreciated about DH. Sometimes some people just don't get his jokes but Grandpa always did!

I was in the bathroom helping A.J. with his shower and DH comes to the door, knocks, and says through the door "See if my outfit is okay!" I open the door and there he stands; nice white shirt, dark blue tie, his black cowboy hat, his black and grey cowboy boots.....
















all being worn with his overalls!

He even had the legs of the overalls tucked into the boots!

He's actually considering taking the overalls so that when we go to see Nana tomorrow evening when we get there he can go to the door like that. They have always teased us for giving up the city life to become country bumpkins and this fits right in!

Well I liked the out fit than i saw overalls

although you know what if that is the realtionship he had with Grandpa than i say GO for it

We had to go to another funeral about a month ago and luckly DH's dress pants still fit I wasn't sure they would
he didn't wear his suit

(Heck, we wear jeans to funerals here!) Do you think they'll be dressed appropriately if they don't have a full suit? We really can't afford one for four of them! But I don't want to look bad!

No. I was going to start yesterday and then we got the call about Grandpa and I really didn't feel like going. They understand and I told them I would start next Tuesday or Wednesday.

I just read back over this and now I'm nervous. DH and the boys don't have suits, they have dress pants, shirts and ties. I know that funeral up north are different than here. (Heck, we wear jeans to funerals here!) Do you think they'll be dressed appropriately if they don't have a full suit? We really can't afford one for four of them! But I don't want to look bad!

I think they will be fine
DH only wore a suit cause it was his DAD and him being the oldest and having to stand by his Mom and all Heck I even wore a skirt and that NEVER happens
but his youngest brother wore dress pants a white shirt and a black tie

and we too have been known to go in jeans too depending on the person

We're supposed to get flurries tomorrow night, but we'll be gone, and then again Sunday, when we'll be travelling home.

Do you have much snow or just enough to remind you that spring isn't here yet?

It hasn't seemed to happen that anyone's been here when I'm on lately. I was really starting to think I smelled really bad or had done something really terrible.

Have you been able to start going back to sleep for a while after DH goes to work??

enough snow just to be miserable about 2 inches

and I come here for a bit and if no one is here I try most days i get another couple of hours

they are there to say good bye to someone they loved not a fashion show
but do you wanna good laugh

I always say you should dress nice and that could even e a nice pair of jeans
when you go to a wake / funeral

well my MIL's boyfriends grandaughter died so we went to the wake
and one of the speakers who was lets say VERY well endowed and large wore a skin tight silk tank top she was falling out of
we just couldn't belive that is what she wore to speak at a wake

I saw her a week later at the grocery store and she had a nice black top on

I am headed out of here as soon as Erica gets on the bus and I work till 5
