Too bad you couldn't come with us, I could use an extra pair of hands ::yes:: :teeth: ...although after a bunch of wild children attacking tide pools, you may not want to be a teacher anymore :scared:

I wish I could! believe me it couldn't be any worse than the trip to the zoo we took in Kindergarten when everyone wanted to run after birds :rotfl:

:woohoo: I just took off for tomorrow. The kids have another field trip, at the beach, and DH just told me he has stuff tomorrow and can't go...so my boss let me have off at the last minute. :cool1: I may not be on much tomorrow... :( , but you leave really early on Friday's too...so maybe it won't be too bad.

oh I dream of field trips to the beach. :goodvibes

Have a great time.

We will miss you.

That storm was so bad. There were stories in the newspaper for days about the cars that were ruined from the water damage. It was amazing to just sit there and watch the flood water rise.
That is so scary...my Mom said that when the last tidal wave hit here, it was very scary...fortunately we live on the side of the mountain, but I would be scared to have a home on low land during those types of disasters :( My Aunt lives near the ocean and her home has flooded so many times...it is a very beautiful area where she lives, just a bad place during floods and high waves.

oh, trust me, it is the same thing and kids are usually the same everywhere...instead of attacking and torturing mammals, insects and birds they will be attacking sea creatures...I feel so bad for the poor animals :scared: It is dangerous though, so I have gone with DS the last two years. Someone always catches an eel and then you have the crabs and vannas, etc. and the water and rocks....fun, fun, FUN :goodvibes

There not that bad...the place we go the eels are usuallly on the small side, like big worms instead of snakes.....and the crabs and vannas are really cool, just have to watch the kids....the crabs pinch and if you step or get pricked by a vanna it is like a bee sting....I always try to bring benedryl with me...just in case...I will look for some photos of what we find...it is really cool, just a little tiring to be with some many 3-5 year olds :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

if you ever make it out this way, I love tide pooling (without the 40+ kids :rotfl2: ) and there are so many cool things to see. I don't know all the names, but I appreciate the beauty of them...but my DH is Mr. Nature, he used to work for the State agency that does a lot the preservation/nature/hunting programs and he knows a lot the animal names: their real names, there common names and the Hawaiian names. He is also really great about the different types of plants and flowers :thumbsup2

well, last week they saw the sea turtles and whales on the boat trip...but we usually see some whales with their calves from the beach (it is whale season now)...but it is low tide now, so the tidal pools are low and there will be hermit crabs, regular crabs, small fish, eels (but I don't go looking for those :crazy2: ), star fish, shells, sea urchins, etc. the kids aren't suppose to go swimming...but there is always a kids or two that gets completely soaked on the trip :lmao: tomorrow it may be my kids
