A little off topic but ~

I ordered some books for DH for Xmas but waited until the last minute to order so I had to pay $20 for shipping. They were sent guaranteed delivery by the Friday before Christmas and they showed up two days after Christmas. I asked for a full refund of my shipping cost. I know it wasn't the publisher's fault but they're the ones that would need to take it up with UPS and they really didn't want to have to mess with UPS. So the publisher asked me instead of a refund if I'd consider a free two-year subscription to their magazine. Uh, let's see....a magazine that DH subscribes to and LOVES that usually costs $52 a year and his subscription only had one issue left. I think I can handle that! DH was thrilled with the books, even if they were late, and then the subscription was like an extra gift!

very cool I am hoping they "resolve" my concerns with a refund of my shipping or something...I think an extra 5 weeks is excessive but now I am a little worried about my exchanges...they were "supposed" to arrive today and it doesn't look like they did maybe tomorrow?

If you have it in writing that it should have been there already, they should do something to compensate you for it. I had that problem with disney online and I just stopped shopping with them. The refused to believe that I was NOT getting my orders.

well.... I don't want to give it away....but they went east of me and onto the mainland U.S. I had them in boxes and I think one weighed 2 pounds and the other was 1 or 2 pounds too...can't remember exactly, so they weren't "envelope" size. It seems like the bigger the box the slower the shipping I did do DC so I will check on that when I have a chance....but they don't always update the info on the delivery/acceptance either. Like the thing I got DH made it to Tenn. on 1/17 ?????????? well, where is it now?
