The Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area is the southeast capital of outlets!!! There are outlet malls all over. The area is up against the Great Smoky Mountains National Park so there's all kinds of hiking, outdoorsy stuff. Clingman's Dome is in the National Park and is the highest point in the southeast. The area is built up as a tourist area so there's all sorts of tourist stuff like Dollywood, go-carting, mini-golf, bungee jumping and all that sort of stuff. There are restaurants all over. (Food, food, food!!) There are a lot of craft places. It's one of those places that has something for everyone and if some of us brought our DHs and/or families there's plenty for them to do as well. There is also a two major lakes nearby, Cherokee Lake and Douglas Lake.
