I HIGHLY recommend Crystal Palace. And they're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure you tell them that you're celebrating a birthday and they'll put streamers and confetti on the table and then all the characters will sign a birthday card. And not only is the atmosphere for a birthday awesome the food was great too!

Thanks, I will try for a lunch ADR, we have a hard time getting to breakfast meals...time lag I will definetly let them know about the B-day!!!

How nice! I'm sure the people at the retirement center will enjoy that and will appreciate it. I can still remember when I went to a retirement center to do that in grade school. Have fun!

There was a old man that just sat there and cried as the kids where coming in saying Happy Holidays. It was so sad.

i did that kind of stuff for halloween w/ my class. all the senior citizens dressed up and we judged them on who had the best costume

Yep it is the little things that make them happy. some of those people will probably not have anyone come see them.

I made an ADR at Crystal Palace for my DD's Birthday.....this is so evil and bad for me to be making plans to go again so soon

...there was no hero lunch planned yet, but the CM was really nice and checked for me and he gave me the # to call for a custom cake

When he asked which hotel I was staying at I had to be honest and tell him I have no ressie yet, that it is harder to make an ADR than any other reservation He said he was suprised how many time slots were already gone from Crystal Palace....doesn't he know how obsessed we are

It is so hard to get in there. We have never gotten it.
But than because we live close I never plan that far in advance.

I got lunch and my choice was either 11:30 or from 12:50 p.m. or later....I choose the 12:50 time slot, we wouldn't make it there too early and dinner is hard since I would hate to have the kids napping/cranky for a special meal...

Don't forget, an ADR doesn't involve $, so I am not committed yet, I could always cancel if we don't go

I saw you posted on my other thread...if you go back to it take a look, I got corrected on it not being a character meal and it be "brunch, not lunch" I had already read the other threads on it, that's how I found out about the meal...oh well, serves me right for posting something on a thread other than the LTP

We did crystal for darrens 5th birthday at lunch.. they gace him a cute cup \\
then we did chef mickeys for supper..


yep 2 buffets in one day!!! boy was that bad!!

OMG, I wouldn't be able to walk. The kids and I ate so much while there and my DH ate more than the kids and I put together. The other day he tells me, "I gained weight!!!!" , "Umm, you are surprised????"

They are always surprised about that. They just can't figure out how it happened.
