Our flights there and back weren't the easiest with DD and I sick, but we made it...and on the plane and in the airport my kids were super great. They were content to sleep, play games and watch DVDs...they never complained

It was amazing...I think if I wasn't sick and we had less layovers it would have been better....but overall I think it went well. On our way home yesturday a flight was delayed and we were almost stuck in Denver or the West Coast, but we got lucky and ended up with a better flight home
Once we where there we had a blast. We stayed on Hawaiian time so we would wake up late and then go to wherever we wanted for the day...It really worked out for us since we ate later than the normal lunch crowd and my kids were up for the nightime events. My DH had a great time and his arthitus didn't act up once

It was better than it is at home, which is amazing with what he ate

I think that 95% of our waking time was spent either eating, walking or eating while walking. My kids loved everything and didn't want to come home, even though they missed our animals and family....DH and I weren't ready to come home either.
We hit all the parks and went to the water park one day. Besides the parks, we really enjoyed La Nouba and the events at Fort Wilderness. The kids loved the campfire and movie and we did the petting zoo and other stuff there. We loved Coronado Springs Resort....We didn't like Animal Kingdom Lodge as much as we thought we would, but we still had fun there. We rode Buzz Lightyear about 10 times...on our last run I scored as much points as you could and suprized the ***** out of my DH and myself...but I still think DS liked the ride more than me
We had so much fun and we were there for a while so it was very relaxing to go at our pace....we ended up spending a little more than I had saved for the trip, but I bought some Christmas/Birthday gifts and more toys for the kids than I had planned.... it wasn't so bad, I am hoping I can absorb it into this month's budget.
I am glad I planned ahead reasonable for our vacation and how much we eat/spend...Hawaii, especially the touristy parts is expensive, so I had a decent idea on how much we would need. When we were leaving the AKL at 5 a.m. yesturday, there were a bunch of security cars at the hotel....we were talking to the bellhop and she was saying that they get a lot of domestics at the hotels...I guess the crowds, heat, high cost of things not being expected, high expectations and fussy kids get to the parents and there are fights

When we were leaving I was so glad my DH and I agree most the time
My DH was telling my mom today how much fun he had and the kids were asking to go back to the hotel while we were on the plan and again today

We told them, sorry, mom and dad need to get back to work!!!!
Right before our trip I was wondering if it was a good idea to go, especially when DD was sick....but it was worth it
