Kids have a snow day today! WooHoo! We don't have any snow but we've got ice. But it's switching to rain and slowing going away so I think it'll turn out to be a nice day. We're going away for the weekend and I'm sure we'll be able to get out of here by noon.
We do get quite a few. It doesn't take a while lot of snow 'cause it's just hard for the busses on the mountainous roads. Do you guys have delay days or limited route days?
We get one hours delays and two hour delays but we also get limited route days where there's only partial bus service (mostly just paved roads). If you live on a limited route and they call it limited for that day then it's the parents responsibility to get their kids to school. If they can't - or won't - then it's an excused absence.
First, I gotta warn you. DH has been saying ever since we decorated the tree..."Are you sure you put all the decorations on it??" Well, we had. And I thought it looked fine. Until I saw the pics of it. I'm gonna be putting more decorations on it! It looks bare! The problem is that it's so huge! (We're gonna have to get a Charlie Brown tree next year to compensate for having such a big tree this year!)
But first...here's a pic of a Santa ornament that I got through the Disboards Christmas ornaments exchange. (Kimisabella in NY had my name and sent me such beautiful ornaments!)
It's pretty blurry but look at his springy, sproingy legs. I had never seen an ornament like that before.
And here is a blown glass snowman that she also sent. This is my favorite!!! If you look closely you can see that the inside of the snowman is filled with the blown glass "hairs."
