but I agree i don't understand people who hunt just to hunt and throw away the meat

well the exception of the coyote that was chasing the deer
My BIL shot him

This is how we are too, except the coyote part, we don't have those.

I've always felt bad that I haven't been tagged yet. (But I try not to whine because I've heard the tag fairy doesn't like whining!) But after seeing your new tag maybe not being tagged isn't so bad after all! What in the world did you say to get you that tag? I must've missed it!

Don't you need a turkey for Thanksgiving??? Now we eat turkeys but it just doesn't seem worth all the work...hunting, killing, carrying home, showing it off, then getting rid of all those nasty feathers and then cooking it! One trip to the grocery store, one frozen turkey, sounds much easier to me!

The wild turkeys here are tough and I am not a hunter myself, but I think they use a shotgun for that which is a lot of little bullets? Who wants a crunchy, tough bird? Yep, if I were cooking the turkey, Mr. Bird would be from Safeway
