We're going to go pick our Christmas tree out the Saturday after Thanksgiving! DH knows a man that has a huge Christmas tree farm and we go there for our tree. The trees are actually way up on a hill and he has hayrides from the lower part of the farm up to the trees. Then you pick your tree and they cut it for you and haul it back down. And then you ride the hayride back down. It's so much fun!

Wow!! I Would Not Want To Cook For That Many People!!

Oh, I love it! I look forward to it! I think part of it might come from not having extended family and not getting to do this all that often. But I really do love cooking at the holidays.

On Christmas Eve we put out a full buffet, even if it ends up just being our immediate family and even if DH has to work.

Sometimes I feel sorry for myself because we don't have any extended family and the holidays can get lonely, especially if DH has to work.

But I've read so many horror stories about in-laws and extended family that I guess in that way we are lucky!

This is how I feel about neighbors. At first I felt bad that we live in the country near mostly only family and not in a typical subdivision....but then I found out how nasty neighbors can be from my old job and where my sister used to live....yuck!
