This is my new (last year) front full-sun perennial garden. I plan on taking pics of this as it grows and blooms. I'm very excited to see it fill in.

Up close...

Nice bed, Mary, I'm looking forward to seeing this seasons blooms!

I am SO glad you know how to post pictures now, these have been great, thank you!!! :)

Mary - may I ask - what are those "sprits" of blue plants in the last and second to last pics....those are cute!!! They remind me of those flashlight things on the top of flashlights in the parks or at ice shows....ROFL

Your perennial garden looks lovely! Yes, you need to identify plants for us on the closer up shots.

Did you do this garden on your own or did you have it done professionally? It looks beautiful. Was it lawn prior to being a garden? Seems there is a little bit of an incline there too.

Thanks so much for posting these photos. We anxiously await for more!

December99: those are Forget-Me-Nots. They spread by seed and seem to pop up everywhere around here.

Tulirose: I planted the garden myself but the rockery and shape of it was already there. It does have a bit of a slope to it. There used to be an enormous Camelia growing there which covered 2/3 of the space and the rest was planted with red yellow and white tulips. I was originally going to prune the Camelia back but decided to yank it out instead and put in a cottage garden. I'll take some close ups as things start to bloom and identify things (if I can remember what they are). I have 7 roses in it, delphinium, heavenly bamboo, peony, campanula, mallow, hollyhock, clematis, larkspur, salvia, lamium and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now. I'm not satisfied with it yet. I tend to plant polka-dot style and then I have to go back and fix it. I'm trying to be patient and wait for things to really fill in and bloom before I start moving things.

Mary everything looks lovely! :)

I have been looking all over for this post cause I couldn't remember who posted it. Now I can't see the pics but the important part was my question was answered. Thanks!!!! I did plant some Forget-Me-Nots from seed last weekend so now I'm waiting to see if they come up.

Yikes! Where are my pictures??? Hmmm, will figure it out tonight.

Call the POSTAL POLICE!! Someone stole Mary's Pictures!!!

Dang! Sometimes I am truly dippy! I had to delete my Maui site to add new pictures for my more recent posts and my front perennial garden pics were on that site.

I just cut back all my forget-me-nots yesterday. They should send out new blooms again and I'll take new pictures of them. They are so easy to grow and reseed at will. I usually give them a shake when they go to seed to help them along a bit.
