Hi

We are heading to WDW in Aug. and spending 7 ngts at WL. We have one last night and I was thinking off-site at Hyatt Grand Cypress or Ritz (good rates on Expedia). Any feedback on either place. Worth moving off-site without a car?

Well what do you want to do on your last night. Personally if I did not have a car I would not move to either of these places unless I pretty much just planned to use thier pools and stuff. Keep in mind that since these are 5star hotels things will be expensive.

I really think by the last day we may just need a day at the pool. I do think however it would be easier to stay onsite - maybe try a different disney property the last night.

If anyone has personal experience with the hyatt or ritz, feedback would be great as I try to finalize my plans. The ritz esp. as the rate is $199 and i doubt I'll ever stay at a ritz for that in the future.

Thanks

We recently stayed at the Hyatt. It is a lovely hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Nicely decorated, large bathroom. THe pool is spectacular. Waterfalls, slides, hidden grottos. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. We did not eat at any of the restaurants, as we were at a convention and kept going out. I did not find thier prices any more expensive than at the deluxe WDW properties. It would be a perfect place to go and relax for a day, after a long week of theme parking.

Thanks Thmacs! We are going to do it! It sounds like the perfect place to unwind before heading home. And the rate ($169.) is very nice, too. It is great to hear first hand experience, esp. about the pool. I am sure I will not be able to get my girls out of it!

Oh that is a wonderful rate for the Hyatt - you know it use to be the only 5 star resort in Orlando - they got mad at AAA when they lower it to a 4 star and have refused entry since.
