I have the WL booked in a Courtyard Room for 2/26-3/5. I just checked and can stay at the Poly for $600.00 more (Gardenview Room). I have a four and a 7 month old baby so we plan on a lot of down time by the pool and will be in our room for naps etc. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

We have stayed at both and loved both. ;) I think the Poly wins just by a little because the boat to MK and the monorail are so nice to have. :) The WL also has a boat, but the ride seems longer and much more crowded. The boat from the Poly to MK rarely has more than 5-10 people on it and it moves much faster on the water. Another nice thing about the Poly is that the rooms are much bigger and you get the nice daybed/couch which would be great for the 4 year old. :) I love the theme at the Poly too... and the restaurants. Boy, it's a tough choice! ;)

I would recommend the Poly as I think monorail and boat trans. will be very convenient with a baby. I'm traveling with a six month old to the Poly this spring too. :)

We stayed at the Poly last year and really, really loved it. This year we are staying at WL. Heard a lot of good things about the WL and wanted to try a different resort. There are times that I wish we had booked at the Poly again for this year. I sure wish someone who has stayed at the WL would ease my mind and tell me that we made a good choice!!! :rolleyes1

We just returned from our stay at the WL. We really loved it there. My kids are 3 1/2 and 5. Our room was #2121 (courtyard view). It was a little noisey around 9:30. I think people were getting back from Illuminations. My kids slept through it. We were on the same level as the lobby. We never had to go on an elevator and we looked out at the creek. It was a great room! The pool was nice and there was a kiddie pool there. The Poly does not have a hot tub and the WL does. Then again the Poly has a zero entry pool and the WL has a regular one. If you do chose the WL I would request a bunk bed room so you will have more floor space for a pack n play. The rooms were small but they were laid out well. When the kids fell asleep we would sit out on the patio and relax. We looked around the Poly and the rooms looked large. The pool looked nice as well. I feel that the theming suited us better at the WL. The extra space for a baby would be nice at the Poly. You have a win/win situation. They are 2 great choices. Happy planning! :teeth:

The Poly does have the larger rooms which are nice with little ones! Have fun no matter where you go. :flower:

I would go for WL. all the rooms are on the inside of the building so if the weather is not the best you can move around in the resort without going outside. I also like the theme better then the Poly.

We did the POLY last May and WL in December and absolutely loved both. Know that you won't make a wrong choice :flower: !

BUT, with two young children, I'd opt for the POLY for the transportation alone. My children's favorite ride IS the monorail and I agree with the poster above that the boat ride seems much quicker from the POLY. You can also walk to Ticketing & Transportation Center from the POLY. AND, during meltdowns at MK, you are a quick monorail ride away from your own private hotel room!

I believe Poly has 24 hour food court - my ONLY complaint with WL was that we are late night people and the food court closed rather early.

I don't know if you are driving or flying in but if you do have a car and choose to stay WL, know that driving your car to the parks is a viable option. We used to always take Disney transportation (love monorail and boats but LOATHE the buses - i'm just not patient enough). However, during our recent stays at AKL and WL, we drove to the parks and had very good experiences. IMHO, Disney does a much better job operating the parking lot trams than the buses.

Have a magical time, whatever you choose! Truthfully, you can't go wrong with either resort!

These are 2 of my fav. resorts!! Both themes are fantastic!! We have stayed at both with a baby at one point or another. The rooms are larger at the Poly to accomodate the porta-crib. It's easier to get to the parks from the Poly with a stroller. It's not difficult at the WL, just a little easier at the Poly. We love both the pools too. The best thing at the WL is the lobby. The best thing at the Poly are the tiki torches and watching the castle change colors at night! :earsboy:

Sorry to be so long winded....POLY!

Thanks to everyone- still have not made up my mind...still thinking of what else I could do with $600!!! (but after just having a baby....I deserve it!!)
