Does anyone know if DCL ever offers last minute deep discounted cruises? For example, if they don't have a full ship, do they have some way of letting Florida residents (or others who can get to the ship with less than a week's notice) know that they have some cabins they'd like to fill at discounted rates? I'd think they'd rather fill a cabin that is empty at cost or near cost than leave it empty.

Usually I don't see to many great deals last minute, but just this week in my vacationstogo.com newsletter there were some pretty good deals. Probably as good maybe a couple a little better then the early booking discounts.

I regularly check on www.vacationstogo.com. I don't like booking thru them (any TA has the same prices) but it's a great site to check rates. There are occasionally discounts, but you certainly can't count on them. THey usually show up for Sept and Jan cruises.

DCL offers FL resident rates within 3 months of sailing (usually)...you can check these out at all seas site. They also offer specials to travel agents (for their personal travel, not to re-sell) when they have a ship that's not filling. Ships rarely sail with much space available, but they are creative about filling them--like internally with specials to CMs, TAs, etc...rather than offering cheap to general public.
