Hi.

We are thinking about taking a last minute trip to help blow off some steam. Possibly within 2 weeks but maybe up to 4 weeks. Our only concern is how jammed up ADRs are for that time.... How booked up are places for dinner thru the beginning of Nov? Think we'd be able to squeeze in somewhere? Eating late wouldn't be bad as its just 2 young adults traveling. TIA.

Hi,

Why not call Disney Dining right now and try to make your ADRs, even if you aren't 100% sure of the dates yet? ADRs are free and you can always cancel or switch them later. None of us here can tell you for sure what is and isn't available.

Good luck!

Be flexible for locations, too. If your heart is set on particular popular restaurants, you may be disappointed. In addition to eating late, you might consider eating early dinners or late lunches.

thanks for the replies, I guess I should not be lazy and just go ahead and call ;) We can be as flexible as needed, just dont want to eat counter service for every meal. haveagoodone.

Many of the resort restaurants are easy enough to get into, especially the full service restaurants at the moderates, all three of which I think are pretty good. Epcot will be the toughest due to the Food and Wine Festival. I have gotten last minute ADR's at Tony's and the Plaza in the MK, Prime Time and Sci Fi in MGM and there are plenty of place in DTD that don't take the DDP and therefore don't fill up as much. Good luck, I think you'll be able to find something, just not Le Cellier and other immensely popular places!

We have been very successful in getting last minute ADRs but most of them have been at resort places like Cape May breakfast, Kona, Spoodles breakfast (which was horrible), Grand Floridian Cafe, Yachtsman and a few park places too like Beirgarten, CP and others...be flexible with your times and try lunch too...

Can't hurt to call and find out. We planned my daughter's birthday trip in less than a month, and got reservations for nice dinners (Kona was the favorite, and we had a choice of times!) and a character meal (Cinderella dinner in its temporary home at the Grand Floridian Cafe) on her birthday.

Walk-ups work better at resorts than parks. We have walked in with only 5-20 minute wait at Cape May, Spoodles, Big River. We've actually called for last minute ADRs, told these places were full, and then walked in anyway. I think the resort hotels keep back a larger amount of seats for walk ins, because they wouldn't want a resort guest to not be able to get a meal in their own hotel.
