So I am planning a last minute trip w/ DS, DD6 (nt), me and my BFF (also the kids godmother)

For about the same price we could do POFQ or DLR.

DS does fine on a plane - but we've never attempted anything further than MCO. Is POFQ a good choice for a spectrum kid? I thought the small resort and the boat would be good choices. (And a monorail resort isn't in the cards)

I don't see alot on here about DLR - taking the busses out of the equation might make up for the long flight. Any thoughts or experience? Are the as accomadating of SN kids? I've never been.

TIA

I would think it would be a good choice. We're doing Riverside again, which DS14 absolutely LOVES, but of course he's much older than your little guy. He likes the playground and the pool and the landscaping, not to mention the general serene feel of the place. Fortunately he enjoys the bus rides, too.

More of the people who post here regularly go to WDW than Disneyland, so that's why you don't see as much about DLR.
My comment about DL is that since it is a much smaller space, it could feel more busy and stimulating.

I agree with the other poster about your choice of resort. It's a nice restful feeling resort. The natural colors and landscape are less stimulating than some of tne bright colors and action you may find at other resorts.
Another nice thing is the many walking paths and the boat to Dowtown Disney.
