Is Sunday 02/11 and Monday 02/12 with park hoppers good days to go? We are flying in and will be in LA for 4 days, 2 of which have to be weekend days. We don't want to go near President's Day.

Thanks!

BTW, been to Disney World, never to Disneyland ANY suggestions would be wonderful!!!!

Never been during that time - but shouldn't be too horrible. The main advice I can offer is to get there as soon as the park opens if you can, and "hop" the whole time. The two parks are so close together - that I recommend starting in DL, and then in the afternoon when there are more people hop over to DCA - stay there the whole afternoon, and then hop back in the late afternoon/early evening. Get fastpasses for the rides in DL before you go to DCA, as the machines are not linked, and then you will have them when you return since you can use the passess anytime after the return time.

Have a great trip!!!

The Elk Grove Unified School District in No. CA has that weekend as a 3 day weekend (not that all of us are going to DL though). We happen to have that weekend and the following weekend both as 3 day weekends instead of having a full week off for President's day.

There may be a few others districts that have it as a holiday as well (I think Kern County does- or at least they did). I grew up in Kern County (just north of DL). For one year the district tried to have a 4 days weekend (Friday thru Monday) off, but after many complaints went back to having 2 consecutive 3 day weekends. I've been away from Kern County for several years now, so they may have changed.

Yes, Kern Co schools have that as a 3 day weekend- we'll be there that weekend, since DD's 4th bday is on Monday the 12th.

I believe alot of schools in LA/Anaheim are have a three day weekend off for Presidents day Feb 12 (also off Feb 19) and San Diego schools have Feb 12th off also...gonna be busy weekend at Disneyland. We are still going though:D
