Hi, I'm new to this forum but am really impressed by so many posts, especially the info from HydroGuy. Great info, Thanks!

I want to do a last minute trip to Disneyland, but am leary of the two new rides opening and Splash Mountain reopening. I plan to go on blackout days, but will the two new rides make for a busy week anyways. Flights are just really cheap right now, we can hardly wait to go, but we don't want to go when it's super busy. Will most people be in line for the new rides or will it be busy all over? And will Splash Mountain be crazy too? We waited this long because my daughter is finally tall enough to go on SM this time. What should we do, go or wait until a slower time?

If you:

- Avoid the two new rides. (zig when others are zagging)
- Get to the park at rope drop & Tour & collect FPs the first 3 hours of each day.
- Hop when it gets too crowded at DL.
- take a mid day break (if needed) & come back to DL (or DCA) refreshed.

...then you'll be fine.

If it's hot, Splash should be your second (or third) FP collected. If it's not hot, then it still should be your second (or third) FP collected. Either way, no worries with a FP. :thumbsup2

What days are you going?

Are you staying onsite?

Ages of kids?

Have a great time at Walt's park. :thumbsup2

We plan to be in the park, June 8,9, and 10 for F! on Friday. This will be the first time I will be going w/out husband with our three older children (5,7,9). We will be staying at BWPPI, so not too far away. I just don't want to go when its really crowded. We were there, just me and my husband, last July 2010, and it was insane, but doable because it was just two adults. We've been during November when it's dead but still had a great selection of entertainment (Fireworks, Electrical light Parade, etc.) and it was our favorite time ever.

DL is more crowded than not. Besides those aren't the worst dates you could pick either.

Just use Fast PASS like crazy to make the best of it.

Splash will be busy, it always is when the sun is out(which is almost always in Anaheim). Ride it early in the day of FP it for later.

Welcome to the DIS, PixieGirl4 :)

Just letting you know I merged your threads so you'll get your answers in this one.

Disneyland will be a little crowded, but I think it will still be doable for you and your children. I'm sure you'll get a lot of good advice here.

Just wanted to make sure you are aware of the grad nights while you are there. The park will close early (9pm) on Wed(8) and Thurs(9) and MM will be on Wed rather than Thurs.

See you there! We will be there the same dates at the same hotel! :)

I'm hoping everyone is in line for Star Tours and the LIttle Mermaid so we can do everything else! :)

Thanks for all the replies. I did know about the grad nights. I'm actually kind of excited that there will be grad nights those nights so we can still see the fireworks or WOC early and still get the kids to bed early. And then we will be up till midnight on Friday to see F! twice, might have to carry a kid back to the hotel, but worth it. :)

I'm by myself this time without DH so I'm just worried if it's going to be over the top crazy, like super high season, or is it going to be just their gearing up to summer time. I'm not a hugh fan of big crowds. I'm hoping everyone else will be waiting in line for ST and LM too, so other lines won't be so tiresome.

We are super excited, but I'm a little nervous being by myself on such a big trip and having it crazy busy.

Thank you so much Mary Jo! :)

I too am humbly grateful for all the good info on these boards.

My DD and DGD will be there June 8,9,10

We might see you at the princess breakfast on Thursday
or Fantasmic on Friday at 9

If you see 3 generations of females who all look alike looking for the next princess or adventure it just might be us- we aren't staying in the park- but across the street.

I too am thankful for the 2 grad nights which mean a forced early bedtime

Look for the pale faces from the east soaking up the sun.
