We've decided at the last minute to go to Orlando next weekend.

We are going to do all day friday at seaworld

and all day Sat at Magic Kingdom

We've never been to Seaworld, any tips/input appreciated

Because it is such a short trip we are going to stay offsite. Any tips on a good deal? Somehting on the 3 star level?

You could try hotwire.com for a hotel. But I don't book under 3.5* on hotwire.
Also plan for large crowds since that is the tail end of Easter week and the beginning of many schools vacation week here in the Northeast. So as long as you know ahead of time that there will be large crowds you won't be disappointed.
You may want to switch your park days I've never been to Seaworld but I know Saturdays at Magic Kingdom are very crowded!
Another tip is to get to the park right at opening!!

We loved Sea World. We chose not to do any rides there at all though because the shows were our focus. The shows are AMAZING! The first thing we did when we got to the park was to go straight to the Dolphin area. They have a feeding right at 9:15. For $3-$5 you can buy a tray of fish and the dolphins will swim right up to you and let you feed/pet them. From there we went to the Clyde and Seamore show. Because it was a morning show the sun was pretty bright and in our eyes. We had to sit low because we had my dad in a wheelchair, but if we could have, we would have opted for a seat up higher under the canopy. This show is sooo funny. After that, we went to the dolphin show. This was an amazing show with dolphin tricks and trainer stunts. The splash zone in this arena is not too bad. The splash is fairly tame. You could get hit just right and get pretty wet though. After this show we did a few exhibits and went to the Shamu show. This is another amazing show that was very moving. Be aware that you will get completely soaked in the splash zone. People walked out of the show completely dripping and they didn't look too happy. I would not sit in the splash zone here.

We found this park to be very hot and sunny. I NEVER wear a hat, but I was so desperate for one this day that I would have paid $30 for one. My scalp got burned from the sun.

This park is big and you will do a lot of walking. The maps are deceiving because things look close, but the buildings are so large that to get to the other side takes quite a while.

As for a hotel, I would book Comfort Suites Main Gate East through www.hotelmartusa.com. They have this place for $89 with taxes included and it sleeps up to six, has a mini fridge, maybe a microwave, and free deluxe continental breakfast with make your own waffles.

Good luck.

hilton grand vacation club is across the street from seaworld.

here it is

also hilton garden inn is close by

there is holiday inn (it was a La Quinta) - it is about the best for the middle area - of course the walls are thin.

there is also a resident inn near seaworld

don't go on priceline for anything less than 4 stars - will NEVER do that again.

got what priceline considered a 3 1/2 star - while I considered it a 1 star. Awfully place.
