Last minute trip, HM question

We were scheduled to arrive at WDW tomorrow for our 25th anniversary trip. Due to the impending storm we made the last minute decision to cancel and head to the west coast instead. It was a crazy day trying to make the changes so I didn't really do any research.

My DH's favorite ride is HM which of course is closed for the fall overlay. Does anyone know if they ever open early, or is the 15th pretty firm?

They want to tie in the opening of Haunted Mansion Holiday with the start of the HalloweenTime season in Disneyland. So while, things can change, it's usually a pretty firm date.

Thank you! You never know, I guess. We are planning a family trip to WDW in May so he will get to ride then.

I know what you're saying. Soft opening. We are from NY and fortunately decided months ago to plan a trip to DL. We are very happy we did now. Unfortunately our last park day is Sept 13. I'm hoping the do a preview/soft opening like they are known to do in WDW, but not expecting it since DL is so different the way they do things. Either way, enjoy your trip!
