I'm thinking of booking a last minute trip for a week, 2adults, as there are some very cheap flights with monarch at the moment (around £350pp mark)

Im torn between a cheap hotel on West 192, or Pop Century (the difference is around £300, which would almost pay for park tickets)

What would you do? I have never stayed offsite, and am worried by the very mixed reviews all the hotels get.

Do you have any recomendations for 192 West hotels?

We have never done any of the 192 but if you only want to visit Disney then defo stay on site.

We have booked Rosen Inn on I Drive for 8 nights - cheap and cheerful and has a shuttle to all parks.

What hotels are they? I would save the £300. Can't you book just the flight and then book the hotel? What about a car, if your on the 192 I would get a car.

I've seen flights with car hire and gold insurance for £737 for the 2 of us.

I'm torn between staying at POP for around £560 for 7 nights, or trying offsite for the first time.

it depends on the offsite hotel...
some are nice, some are awful...

also, are you going to want to use extra magic hours at all?

We've used Best Western on 192 a couple of rooms, simple hotel but clean & comfortable with nice pool areas, easy access to local eateries & near Walgreens & Winn Dixie Supermarket. Also not far from Sherbeth road 'sneak route' into WDW so not a lot further than staying at AKL or All Stars. If you're spending most of the time in the parks I'd put the money saved towards tickets:goodvibes

We stayed at the Best western Lakeside. Its a good clean but basic hotel. Wallgreens on the doorstep and a Dennys and Sizzler nearby.

We would stay there again if staying off site. You may also save money on food if eating off site (whether staying on or off site) if that would be a factor in your decision.

What dates you looking for?
Best Western Lakeside is somewhere we have stayed 4 times, a week should cost no more than around £180
We prefer to stay around LBV area now rather than the 192, Extended Stay Deluxe Lake Buena Vista should be about £220/wk.

Loads of choice out there. Personally I prefer offsite to the Disney Values but others prefer onsite.

when we've stayed offsite, we've always stayed in the Lake Buena Vista area......convenient to WDW and a nice area in itself...
i had reservations for next month (june) for a conference i attend every june, but i'm not going this year....(i go with my sister, and she's having surgery in June so no conference this year)...
