Last minute trip 8/31

We will be in Orlando for Labor day, and despite saying many times that we don't need to go to GE's this trip...we're now thinking about going to GE's this trip. Is it too late? Is the idea just too crazy?

We'd be staying onsite, and have obligations until around 10:30/11am. I suspect riding the falcon won't happen without a super long wait, but maybe we could walk around? Because we weren't going I've done zero research....

I would check back for reports the day before before deciding. Nobody knows how bad it'll be until they open it to everyone.

well, they have not really said much so you have not missed much. They did open reservations for Oga's, Savi's and the Droid Depot. It was reported on facebook that one of those reservations would get in to Galaxy's Edge an hour before your appointment. They have not mentioned how they will handle a line, if there will be a virtual queue, etc.

I would definitely try to head over.

I am crazily entertaining the idea of flying down on Saturday, going to HS/SWGE on Sunday and flying home Monday. Nonstop flights on spirit are super cheap and it would be an amazing surprise for the kids. Our daughter is in marching band band and has her first home game Friday night so we couldn’t come until Saturday but it is totally doable.

The issue is do we want to deal with all of the insanity? We’d have to pretty much get up in the middle of the night to be at HS super early to run to Smuggler’s Run to try to minimize the wait. We’d probably have to stay off property as well.

Definitely not the way we normally due disney but it could be fun.

I would say if you are already going to be in the area, I’d definitely try to go!
