Hi Everyone,

Well, we are set to go to Disney on the 20th of September and I am checking my list of things to bring...just wanted to get some input as to any helpful items or tips anyone might have for doing Disney with a 2 and a 3 year old. Thanks! NESS:wave:

Pack chidren's Motrin or Tylenol. Can't even remeber how many times when my kids were little I ended up needing it while on vacation.

Have a great trip!

Just follow their cues...when their tired, it's better to take a break, then to deal with fussy kids! Believe me, I've tried!

Have a great time! They WILL remember this trip! DD was 13 months when I took her the first time, and she constantly watched the video we took and looked at the pics we took when we returned. But she has mentioned some things that happened on that trip that weren't in the video or photos! I KNOW that she remembers that trip, and that is a great feeling!

Have fun!!! We went in April with our "just turned 2" and "about to turn 4" year olds. :) Seeing everything through their eyes is really special.

The biggest tips I'd offer are to take a break from the parks every day. Even if they will nap in the stroller, the parks are sensory overload so I think getting away somewhere lower key helps. Make sure they drink plenty of water and have snacks available. We found if someone was fussy they were either tired or hungry!

Buy some inexpensive Disney gifts before you go. You can even pretend you bought them at WDW. Souvenirs are quite expensive at WDW.

Take LOTS of pictures. They grow up so fast.

ITA with following their cues. Sometimes they want to stand in line (too long) for a character, or watch a squirrel, or watch the fountain, or...you get the point. It is much easier to miss something you want to do and work with what interests them.

Medicines are key. I paid $8 for a little benedryl when DD had an allergy reaction.

One thing we enjoyed was the rope drop at 10:00am for Toontown. The characters come out to greet you and you can see many of them with no lines.

I am just back from a trip with my 2.5 year old DD and my 3 turning 4 in October DS. If you have a double stroller brings it. If you only have a single bring that and rent another. My kids loved the character meals and with a 2 year old they aren’t charged for what they eat.

September is still pretty hot so I would let them, get wet at any opportunity. Bring extra clothes for them so they can change if they do get wet. Make sure they drink plenty of fluids. If you can’t get them to drink water let them have lemonade or fruit punch don’t let them have tea or colas since they have caffeine which are diuretics and can cause dehydration.

My kids don’t get up early enough to be at the park for opening. I went by their timetable. It made everyone happy.

Bring at least some water into the parks with you it is very expensive to buy there. Since I had the stroller I took a cooler into the park with no problem. I only had water in it though.
