Last minute tips! Any and all!

Ok, so we leave Sunday night and I am doing my little lime green dis notebook to take with me. This is what I will keep with me at all times with all our plans, ressie #'s and times, parade times, stores in DTD I want to visit etc..

Please give me some helpful tips I may need to write down in the book.
A few things in particular I am looking for are..

-Where is best to buy Mickey ears for my 2 year old ds? Free engraving?

-Places in the parks, etc. that do special things. Just something out of the ordinary I should check out?

-Best priced little souvies to bring back to people?

-DTD shop hours?

-Best spot/way to get cute pics of my little one with the characters?

-Best way to get from AK-DTD and then from DTD back to Whispering Canyon cafe?

-Best place to eat CS meals in each park?

-Best spot to watch wishes to get pics of the castle with the fireworks?

-Where can I get the buttons for dh and I to wear saying it is our anniversary?

-Where to get anniversary pins?

-Best way for us to maximize our trip/anniversary?

-Best places to pin trade? Places to avoid pin trades?

-Best time of day to get a ride on the front of the monorail?

-Best place to find a BIG photo album?

-Places to put my 3 big lime green mickey heads to get noticed??

-and just any tips you may have for us. anything special we can do to have something memorable to bring back from? Something we should see/do?


Ok, obviously you do not have to answer all these, but any tips would be great. I am trying to get my book all ready bu Sunday afternoon.

-Where is best to buy Mickey ears for my 2 year old ds? Free engraving?

Only place in parks I know of with free embroidery is Le Chapeau on mainstreet in MK. It is to the right of mainstreet around the first hub before you head down toward the castle. Hard to find unless you know it is there.


-Best priced little souvies to bring back to people?
Ears, especially the basic black, magnets, pins


-Best spot/way to get cute pics of my little one with the characters?

Character dinners, and if not that, then the tent at Toontown, but be prepared to spend a LONG time. A lot of characters are usually at park opening also, but again, long lines. Character meals are the best. Go at odd times, and you will get more interaction then you even want.

-Where can I get the buttons for dh and I to wear saying it is our anniversary? Hmmm...ask at Guest services, I don't know for sure that they have them, but that would be place.

-Best way for us to maximize our trip/anniversary? Mention it at your sit down dinners. If you have ADRs, call and have it noted.

-and just any tips you may have for us. anything special we can do to have something memorable to bring back from? Something we should see/do?

Maybe try to volunteer for things like the Behind the scenes tour at MGM or Indiana Jones, or that kind of thing. Have a special walk on the beach at one of the MK resorts while the fireworks are going off.

Thanks so much for asking! Although I wished for a different answer..lol Now I am not sure what we will eat with out meals as the mashed potatos do not sound to appealing to us! Hmm....

The best place to get a BIG photo album is Downtown Disney !! This is where I always find my album.

Also one of favorite activities to do each trip is to rent Watermice !! It is so fun we do this every trip now !!

Unfortunately I havn't been there in 6 years, so most of the stuff I know, is old info. however...a really good tip...don't forget your binder! My family was so organized last time we went, that we forgot our binder when we left home! Luckily my dad mentioned to check for all our tickets, and we noticed the binder was still sitting on the dinning room table! Write a note, and stick it to the side of the door, so you double check yourself on the way out! Have a great time!!

Last year we had my son sit for a siloutte picture! I think you get three at once (perfect for the grandparents) and got them framed. They are adorable and I have one hanging up here at the house! I don't think we paid more then $20 some dollars and every time I look at my son I think of our trip! We got it done in dtd

Another thing we did was in Epcot they take a photo of anyone and put them into crystal things from keychains to light up blocks with castle backgrounds (very pretty). The key chain was under $20 and the light up castle with picture was around $50!

You have to get the gold ears personalized this year!

I also saw in dtd at the Christmas store. Personalized mickey mouse ornaments. They decorate them right there with whatever name you desire. I think 6 were around $24 and they are in the shape of Mickey heads! Too cute and great reminder around the holidays.

Guest of Honor badges with your childs name on them. I can't remember how much $6.00 maybe? My son got so much personal attention the day he wore it and now it sits in his room on a stuffed "turk" from tarzan.

We got a large souvenior cup with an elephant on it at animal kingdom and then refilled it all day for cheaper. It's a keeper! It's so hot their anyhow you'll be surprised how many drinks you'll be buying. We also got a popcorn container and saved that too.

We never put away my son's autograph book! He loves looking at it! So get those autographs and enjoy that book for a long time afterwards!

We bought wdw p.j. too so he could wear them all winter long. They were his favorite pair (buy big they run soooo small)

My favorite item was three cd's I bought Disney's greatest vol 1, 2 and 3! It's the music they play at dtd over speakers. All the songs from all the disney movies. It just makes me happy to listen to them! Anyone know if they have more then three out now?

Have fun on your trip! I just finished putting our pictures from last week's trip into my new photo album. I got a Pooh album that says '05 on it. They have Happiest Celebration albums but they don't have the year. I always buy the photo album (and christmas tree ornament - those flat porcelian ones!) that have the year.

I always joke with my kids, that if there's a fire, I'll grab the Disney photo albums before the cat!!!!!!
