Last minute table - no fantasmic Mama Melrose?

i've read that Mama Melrose is a bit easier to get in last minute because of it's location in the park. I'm finalizing my Oct Trip and i'm wondering if i can get by without an ADR for friday or saturday oct 10, 11 at Mama Melrose's. we also do not need Fantasmic- just a table for four. what'd you think?

I have eaten at Mama Melrose's as a walk in and that was maybe mid August? We put our name in for a walk in another time, maybe mid March, and got a seating time to come back in an hour but we decided we didn't want to wait. I think it's definitely possible.

We were able to get in pretty quickly for lunch. I have not tried for dinner without an ADR, but it has gotten so difficult to get into places lately without one ( even in OCT ) that I try to plan as much as I can.
