I need some guidance please! Usually I am planning these trips 6-12 months out instead of 6 weeks. I found a deal through southwest for airfare and staying offsite for $2100 family of five for five nights while port orleans is $2800 for Same deal. Neither includes park tickets. I guess I need to factor in car for offsite so I just answered my own question. :rotfl2: just needed happy encouragement from yall since my dh is not a disney fan and is reluctantly going...its a lot of cash...

Y'all go and have a good time. Park tickets will cost you the same amount whether you stay onsite or offsite. Food can be as cheap or as expensive as your family can stand. Don't forget to factor in the cost of parking, tolls to/from the airport and gasoline when you add the cost of a rental car to your budget.
