Last Minute Room Restevations - Any Advice?

Thinking about a Saturday and / or Sunday stay, THIS weekend to try and see the Electrical Light Parade with my young daughter. I've never made last minute reservations before, we always plan well ahead.

HoJo's has a great AP rate ($59). Really, how long is this walk? We're sort of 'on property' hotel snobs. Seems far, and away from the Downtown Disney action?

I've heard that Expedia puts their rates up on Friday nights, so I'll be checking.

Any other recommendations?

HoJos is a great hotel, walk is about 10 mins or so not bad at all I think aside from Grand Californian the walk from DLH and PP are about the same or maybe more than HoJos, and at $59 a nite you can't go wrong...
